gun slinger / swashbuckler and signature deed

Rules Questions

If I have levels in both gun slinger and swashbuckler would they stack for the level requirement for

signature deed:
Prerequisite: Grit class feature, gunslinger level 11th.

Benefit: Pick a deed that you have access to and that you must spend grit to perform. You can perform this deed for 1 fewer grit point (minimum 0). If the amount of grit needed to perform the deed is reduced to 0, you can perform this deed for the normal action cost as long as you have at least 1 grit point.

As the ACG stats grit and panache can be interchanged would they stack class levels for requirements.

As it stands now, no.

You actually need 11 levels of Gunslinger.

Even though the book says I can use grit for for both classes and panache for both classes and swashbuckler is a fighter gunslinger hybrid class.

As Swashbuckler isn't actually a gunslinger for rules purposes, without an errata signature deed is sadly not allowed.

RAW says no, for homegames I would talk to your DM as it seems to be a reasonable enough assumption seeing as Precise Strike clearly calls it out.

If it were me, you'd need to be lvl 11 gunslinger or lvl 11 swashbuckler to qualify as that is clearly the intent.
I wouldn't let the classes stack though.

Hopefully they'll change it, or introduce a new feat.
lv 11 and grit/panache feature requirements..

Granted that would mean that gunslingers (and perhaps swash) could get it twice. but considering it's their schtick I don't see too much problem.

Home game I would allow them to stack though
