I probably won't take over, but details for any DM interested would be nice. What part of the game did you make it to? Are you on book 1? Book 2? They could look at the thread, though that doesn't mean they know exactly where you are at.
Are you leveling faster than what you are suppose to? Ie. you are suppose to be here at this level, but instead you leveled up a lot earlier.
Did the DM have any house rules to be aware of?
Mai Asta Isabella |
We don't have any house rules at the moment, I believe.
And each player is a GM running other games, When a GM is selected he or she will get to choose which of the games we are running and get a character spot.
The selected GM can choose one of the following;
Module:
Tower of the Last Baron
Adventure Paths
Kingmaker
Mummy's Mask
Shattered Star
Carrion Crown
Second Darkness
Legendary Adenture Paths
Savage Tide
Shackled City

Hello I have been talking to Mai she has talked to me about gming for you guys. still unsure. i have not GM'd on a pbp I have dm'd a little in RL mainly 3.5 and pathfinder setting. Some people suggested that I do a test play or group with a made campaign to test the waters. I am not sure if you guys are ok with someone not majorly experienced. and I will need guidance, only a little thought. if i accept this position. I would like to get imput and get to know the players a little bit and see if we click :D what is your guy's post rate? I could post atleast once a day, more on other days, obviously. I also understand scheduling and working odd shifts. I work third shift so I understand.

I am one of the players,
I check posts daily, but can't always reply. Text/RP posts are easier to make than action posts, since I post a lot at work and action posts tend to involve either rule lookups or map checks. I also work rotating shifts, so the time of day I can post fluctuates, and some shifts are much easier.
Friday nights I have my RL group, and weekends I tend to have the 'Honey-do' list to contend with as well as time with family. Regardless of rate, I am devoted to the game and have rarely left any (I think only 2 out of all my campaigns, and when I did it was usually due to conflicts with the GM).
I am very rules oriented, and tend to expect a game to run by the RAW unless the GM states beforehand any house-rules. Even as a GM I introduce house-rules only as a vote by the players to include. I tend to disagree with the common term 'rule of cool' if it flies too much in the face of the rules just for a 'neat' story change. I live and die by the dice results. I would rather die in some lame way by the rules and bad die rolls than have my character survive by the whim of cool.
With that said, and hoping I didn't scare you away, I love to help people either new to the game or the GM's screen. I tend to make rules corrections, not as an attack, but as an opportunity to educate.

So how many players are there total that are playing in the campaign what levels and how fast do you guy progress with the story and levels and How do you do loot without over doing loot. My first campaign i did in RL I was a total mess people killed some crows and they did video game style and exploded with tons of low coins and some random stuff. lol I have gotten better but I never know how to run those sorts of things fairly and not too fast or slow. And you havent scared me away I have several people that are rule oriented in my house. I dont think i have any house rules i tend to follow what is in books so i dont have any discrepancies or arguements. and I am ok with people correcting me so i can learn these things, since I do not know. lol I want to do well in all dnd styles I try and know Dm skills alot better :D

There are 4 players at level 6,
The AP's EXP rate is Fast.
And we do move at a good pace at times.

To take over a Game on Paizo you need to send an E-Mail to Customer Service;
The Subject should be clear that your the new GM adn your taking over another game.
the content of the email should contain the URL to the Game
http://paizo.com/campaigns/XaaonsCurseOfTheCrimsonThrone/gameplay
---------------------------
Before you start you should read through the Second Book of the AP a few times to get most of the events into memory and see their connections to one another.
Also a bit recommended is to read a piece of the Third Book to get an idea of how the two are bridged together.
It would also be recommended to read through the thread what we have done, and not done.
The player's guide will give you basic info on major NPCs, though the first book with give you more info on those NPCs.

ok Well I will do some reading and see if I can connect and like the story and what not. Can you send me the link to the list of books again. And see if It is right for me. If you get someone else Dont worry I wont feel bad. Id rather you get someone experienced and who knows the content, if you find one before i finish reading and getting familiar with everything.

Mai does use a bit of 3PP content, which is posted in the discussion thread.
Mai took the Lovely Distraction trait.

Anyway I'll take the gig if you want. I know the first 3 parts well enough to dm them without the books and I have all six parts in pdf and paperback.
I already have a topic so I would have you go over to min and I would bring my two players up to speed and level them up and we would continue from there.
Let me know if that works for everyone.
Feel free to go here and talk.
