map coordinates

This may be a "duh" sort of question as it's been staring me in the face throughout alpha and I just haven't noticed it. But is there a way to see your coordinates on the map? I figure it would be helpful for reporting bugs in the map or places you can get stuck in the geometry, particularly since the map is being procedurally generated.

The best I've seen is if you hover over the center triangle on your minimap, you can get a x.xx by x.xx [N,S,W,E] of Thornkeep coordinate.

I've also been keeping this one open on another screen so I can do hex references: https://goblinworks.com/static/media/uploads/blogimages/fullmap.png

It's also worth noting that, when you hover over your arrow on the mini-map to bring up the tooltip with the coordinates, you can hold down the left mouse button to drag it off the mini-map. It'll go away when you release the mouse button, but it might make it easier to read. If you hold down the right mouse button as well, you can keep it on screen while moving.

OK, so if I hover my mouse over my own icon on the minimap, it will give me my present coords?

Yes.

It will be something like "1.24 km N, 0.38 km W of Thornkeep".

The arrow at the centre of the minimap, correct.

Thanks! Just wanted to have something so I could report geometry problems if I run into any. That should work just fine.

It's also worth noting that any time you submit a bug report using the in-game tool, your current location is automatically attached. So, it's a good idea to submit bugs as close to where they actually occurred as possible.

Or, if you have PicPick installed (excellent free screen capture) it will hide the mouse when you trigger region capture.
