LOL. Yeah, up exists, but it might as well not because it's not noticeable. But that's one of the problems astronauts have because the body can't feel the pull of gravity so the eyes and body contradict each other. I understand that keeping equilibrium in space is not easy. And I never said up didn't exist, I said up could not be determined. :)

lol fair enough then, I shall notice the difference in the future. :P

A blink dog would blink as many blinks as a blink dog could blink when a blink dog blinks.

JUMP UP JUMP UP AND GET DOWN

Up taught me that "up" is the direction balloons move in an atmosphere. Therefore, when you brake in a car, "up" is the back window; when you accelerate, "up" is the front window. Science!

Up is what I refuse to do in the morning.

I have an idea! Try and jump DOWN while standing on the ground!

Wait... That's called a faceplant. Nevermind.

edit: In terms of age.. I'm currently 25, and have been playing video games since I was 2 (arcade dragon's lair, mum held me up, at some point when I was 3 I actually BEAT it, but I don't remember it myself). Started D&D at 4 with second edition, extremely stripped down, a white board, and a few dice. Mum DM'd. By 5 ot 6, I was building full characters and slaying goblin hordes, barbarian war lords, and partying with metallic dragons in the after-victory party. By 9 I started flirting and seducing dragon chicks in human form (puberty hit me hard and early, and my parents were very "ask us anything and get the truth" kind of people. Learned about BDSM at 10).

And I still get called "junior" at tables with more age-advanced players that I've been gaming for longer than. Must be my voice... Because my hair's already going gray (practically "skunked" at this point).

Disclaimer: I have played maybe 30 minutes of OoT and less than that of MM. I tend to dislike the 3D Zeldas; I'm all about the 2D ones, "Link to the Past" is, IMO, the best game in the entire series, followed up by "Link's Awakening" and the "Oracle of" games.

You and me both, Sweety. (Slightly obscure reference, must be said with a British accent and is usually followed by Hello.)

Well admittedly some of them are Spoilers.

I have to warn you, if this is tv I haven't turned on a television in nearly a decade :P

Dr. Who vs Star Trek vs Star Wars vs Battlestar Galactica vs Stargate! GO!!!!!!!!!!!

Watched Star wars and the new battle star galactica. Never seen an episode of any of the others.

Star Wars is great, Star Trek is great, and Stargate is great.

I've not seen Dr. Who, and Battlestar Galactica only aired when I wasn't watching tv (including present day).

I recently watched battlestar for the first time (and caprica) and I have really mixed feeling on it. Overall I feel like I wish there had been someone at syfy asking Ron Moore what his plan was to resolve his squirrel tangents. Otherwise both shows were frakking incredible. A lot of the best parts of DS9 make it into BSG, as it has many of the same writers and they are really able to push the limits on some of the themes only briefly looked at in the dominion war. Generally, flawed people making flawed choices under tough circumstances.

Caprica got too hung up trying to put down roots and lost its audience before it had one. Really unfortunate. That could have just been an amazing show for 6 to 7 seasons. It almost makes me sick to think about the lost story opportunities with that show gone (just like firefly.)

That wouldn't work; he'd stop them.

Also: I hear there's an entire series of Star Trek/Dr. Who crossover comic books!

That's really all I know, though. All I can think of is something like:

"Exterminate!"
"Assimilate!"
"Exterminate!"
"Assimilate!"
"EXTERMINATE!"
"ASSIMILATE!"
"Resistance is futile."
"RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!"
"Sontar-HA!"
"Tea. Earl Grey. Hot!"
"I am Worf, Son of Mog!"
"I am Q."
"I am Groot!"
"I am Stephen Hawking."
"Are you my mummy?"
"What the hell is going on here???"
"I have altered the deal. Pray I do not alter it further."
"What a smeghead!"

...

"I find humans a very perplexing species, but I simultaneously feel a sense of attachment and obligation to them. Perhaps it is because I am the only one of my kind, save for a malevolent equal and opposite."

"You took the words right out of my mouth, mate."

Everything except BSG unless it's BSG the original. I hated the remake.

What? No one's mentioning Lexx? Short series, but freaking awesome.

Artemis Moonstar wrote:

OMG! Totally! Canadians are funny. And I absolutely loved Kai. Especially the Psychotic Murder episode and the episode where he's speaking poetry on that mostly dead world.

Okay folks. Off for the night. See you tomorrow!!

I have never heard of Lexx xD

PIXIE DUST wrote:

It's on Hulu. WATCH IT!!

Seriously, though, Pixie Dust. :) It's a Canadian scifi comedy that is just outrageously funny. The main characters are just bizarre. There's the dead guy, the moron, the hot chick with serious problems and the robot head that's in love with her... Oh, and I guess the ship could be considered a character since it's totally a giant space insect.

Ok ok!!! lol No need to be pushy :P

So, at my work they occasionally have local shops giving samples in the Cafeteria. Today one of them is giving away samples of Coffee Chocolate and selling some too. I bought this Pretzel stick dipped in coffee chocolate and rolled in peanut brittle... OI good.

I helped construct locomotives. You wouldn't believe how often they come off the tracks. You ever tried to leave your work place to find there was a freaking locomotive off the tracks on the only exit?

Can't say as I have, but that would suck. Luckily, I work at a place that has 4 exits and no train tracks. :)

Hey, Liranys, I bet you get a lot of private messages

Not really. :)

Trains are still fun, I got to start one once, really freaked one of the dudes out. We were messing with him, had the power to the area he was checking disabled but turned the train on and he freaked cause it runs at like 440 volts.

There's a really cool Train museum in Sacramento. One of them even simulates movement and you get to walk down the isle.

I tried to drum up interest in a train based, gas lamp fantasy, pathfinder Mystery Game

I like trains!

but it didn't generate interest

Try the people who like Steam Punk. They'll be more likely to be interested in trains. :)

Now I'm considering designing and constructing a vehicle that uses waterwheels in conjunction with a belt system attached to regular wheels and all powered by the endless fountain things to make automobiles or larger vehicles.
