There are temples to all of the Nurian gods in Per-Bastet, but those of Bastet, Anu-Akma, and Wadjet are the only ones described. Sekhmet and Hathor do not presently appear.
But if Wolfgang gives me more words . . .
Ah good, I was worried you all might have written Anubis in as a 'new' deity, separate from Anu-Akma. I wrote him to be both the jackal-headed god of Gnolls and dying surface dwellers and shadowy ghoul god of the underworld. A combination of Anubis and the demon Akuma.
And as it happens, the Gods of the Southland stretch goal was just announced for this project.
Would love to hear more on nominations for Southlands gods, not just Egyptian but possibly also Yoruba or Ethiopean or Persian figures.

ooh, I've always liked Selket/Serqet :) Ever since I saw that one statue in the museum... Bonus points if there's a write-up for a hidden Cult of Selket operating as good guys somewhere in the desert with their own unique take on the Desert Scorpion Style... Maybe vigilantes, even...
Good guys? Well, not really, no...but you could certainly run them that way. My job was to create stuff for PCs to strive against.

Is there going to be an add on option for getting a hard copy of the Seven Arabian Nights collection?
There might be an add-on if the project takes off, which would be unlocked as a stretch goal. However, it's much, much easier to track and ship the reward tiers as they stand. The Vizier gets a print copy of Eight Arabian Nights.
(Yes, we've updated the title. Paizo freelancer Mike Shel is contributing "The Tomb of the Elephant God" to the collection, so it's now 8 adventures).

For Yoruba gods how about
Shango, Aganju, Erinle, Ogoun, Orunmila, Oshun, Yemaja, and Oya.Maybe even some of the loa gods
like Loco, Ayizan, Damballa, Agwé, Baron Cimetière and Baron Samedi.
(I think pathfinder can use some of these sub-saharan african gods too)

The link should totally be on every page, everywhere. :)
Seriously, we're closing in on a meaty addition to the core book, a full writeup of the cult of Bastet in the Southlands, with new domains, sample NPCs, lots of cult lore and hooks.
I'm really, really hoping a few people jump in and back it, because the Bastet material works for both PCs and NPCs. The gnolls of the Southlands, for instance, are quite devoted followers of the Cat Goddess.

I like that!
(It's a common misconception that hyenas (and by extension, gnolls) are closely related to dogs--that's probably because their morphology and ecological niche is similar to that of many canids. They're actually much more closely related to cats, so I like it that the gnolls follow a cat deity rather than, for example, a dog deity.)

I would say there is much less on styles of dress or marriage ceremonies, though there is some emphasis on coming-of-age/adulthood rites and on certain markers of status equipment.
Hmmm, but that would be great fodder for a "Cultures of Midgard" book post-Southlands, right? Right?!? I mean with two continents (3 counting Northlands) and all of those races, there would have to be enough material! ;)
If you expand it out to gear, we could even hope for regional/cultural-specific weapons & armor lists. PLEEEAAASE!
(Goes back to watching stretch goals unlock)
Well, I can't speak to a post-Southlands book...
But within the Southlands book there are regional and cultural specific weapons and armor like the assagai short stabbing spear, elephant plate armor and riding zebras. Not to mention new archetypes, magic items, spells, poisons....the list goes on and on! Of course, I'm a bit biased.

Out of curiosity, is the slow tease approach to the stretch goals going to be the plan throughout the kickstarter or will more be teased at one time as the end date gets closer?
I have to admit, the "just around the corner" approach keeps me going back to the kickstarter page but last year's "scroll of awesomeness" list where all of the potential goals were listed did as well. Not sure which method I prefer. I definitely appreciate the teaser tags for each goal this go-round, though.
Now back to watching for the next unlocked goal!

I think we'll likely reveal two Supporter goals at a time once the first one is met (and we're about 20 backers away from getting Stephen Radney-MacFarland on board!).
For the other goals.... Yeah, we'll definitely show at least 2 and sometimes 3 or 4 goals at a time. IIRC, there are 3 or 4 items that unlock or add bonus materials at $50K.

Next stretch goal up: The Hand of Nakresh
Here's a preview.
Forty-Fingered Nakresh is the simian demon-god of wizards and thieves. His eight hands grasp all there is to take and hold. It is said he reserves his lowest left hand for the boldest and most daring of his thefts. Thus it is that this cult--a pentarchical assemblage of the region's most infamous scoundrels and their followers--revere their god by emulating this behavior. These five crime lords plot the most audacious and spectacular thefts in order to appease their god and outdo the other members of their organization.
The Five, leaders of the cult.
Lord Vermin: daring roachling rogue, mutant and crimelord.
Master Kiprak: kobold alchemist, steals anything to further his experiments.
Mognyr Dunestalker: gnoll ranger, a cunning and vicious bandit and expert ambusher.
Sister Starkfeather: this albino huginn (tengu) cleric currently holds the position of Exalted, leader of the cult, and has no plans to lose it to any of her layperson brethren
Zheita the Magicmonger: derro sorcerer, savant, specializing in theft of enchanted items. In order to outdo her fellow cultists, she has a mad plan: to steal the very essence of magic itself!

Two questions about the "Eight Arabian Nights" adventure set:
*- What levels are the eight adventures for? (Are they connected as an AP?)
*- Will there be a "player's guide" for these adventures? (If, and AP, are there "campaign traits"?)
The Eight Arabian Nights are standalone adventures, not an adventure path, and each is meant to be played in a few nights. They make great drop-in adventures in a longer campaign arc of your own devising (or a Paizo AP).
Note that a standard AP costs $138 for a 6-adventure run, and this collection is much less expensive. There's been suggestions that Kobold Press should do an AP at some point, but I think doing one really well is actually very tough.
The adventures are for levels 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and two are still being written. There are no campaign traits but there are regional and racial traits in the Southlands book.
I would love to have your support for the Southlands project!

The next stretch goal is allllllmost there ... The Lost City of the Serpent Crown gets added to the rapidly growing Southlands core book.
Just how awesome does Lich Naga sound??!!??!
Another stretch goal knocked down - more lost cities to explore! I wonder if we'll see a Lamia enclave (as in, Advanced Races: Lamia) before this is all done...
(side note: Marc- I sent you an e-mail waaay back in June reg. the Dungeonmastering blog; did it got lost in the shuffle?)

Southlands has also announced three new stretch goals, one for Hero Labs support and another involving the new Lotus Magic mechanics.
Beyond that, we're hoping to add new player character options by Steve Kenson, Ari Marmell, and CA Suleiman PLUS a highly magical location, Ramag, the Monolith Kingdom. In Kobold Press style, Ramag is remarkably easy to add to Golarion, Midgard, the Forgotten Realms, or your own campaign setting.

Points for honesty kcinlive. ;)
It seems a no brainer that folks would back a Midgard AP, and via Kickstarter. Especially given that it almost happened once, I'd say that the possibility is that it will happen eventually.
I imagine the corralling of the right authors; generating/finding a suitably Midgardian and epic uberplot and timing the project with Kobold Press' other plans is the key issue/s.
I could also see the AP being 5e conversant (especially following KP's work on the 5e modules) which doesn't interest me personally, but would make it a bigger fish. Or World Serpent, depending on your point of view. ;)

Marc Radle wrote:Of course, as a pure aside ... a Kobold Press adventure path would be absolutely amazing!Well, less an aside than reminiscent of the Deep Magic Kickstarter - if I remember correctly a Midgard AP was a far off stretch goal we almost reached...
According to the page of that Kickstarter project, less than a hundred backers were missing for the AP - over 1900 backers were in it. I don´t think that Southlands wll reach this number, though.

Just added Lotus Magic to the core book today: that makes a Dozen and One Stretch Goals
And I'm very excited about the next stretch goal: Steve Kenson, Ari Marmell, and CA Suleiman, the power trio behind the awesome Hamunaptra Boxed Set for 3.5, are going to do some design riffs for the Southlands.
Just need a few more supporters to get that unlocked, and also less than 50 more backers and we get Hero Lab support on this project.

I noticed the posts about an (hypothetical) Kobold Press AP.
I, for one, would buy a Midgard Pathfinder AP in an heartbeat.
I think a LOT of folks would buy a Midgard Pathfinder ADventure Path in fact.
Honestly, my gut says there will be one at some point and, if there is, it will be awesome. Right now though ... all energy is focused on the Southlands! :)
