Building a Avenger-esque Character

Advice

Hey guys, I'm in need of a new character as stated in my last thread, ive decided what i want to play but im not sure how to build it in pathfinder. In 4e there was a class called the Avenger, Basically a divine assassin who used cloth armour and Wisdom. I'm looking at 2 handed melee, preferably a bastard sword. The big thing i want is Wis to AC when in cloth, i also want spellcasting. How should i do this?

I'd say use a mix of the Sacred Fist Warpriest (for your spellcasting and Wis to AC), and possibly Slayer so you can at least use a bastard sword as a 2-handed martial weapon. Go at least 3-4 levels on the Slayer just so you can get that extra sneak attack damage, the studied target, and maybe some talents to go with it. You might even consider using the Deliverer archtype on the Slayer, for flavor more than anything.

Another option would to be mainly Inquisitor with a 1 level dip in Sacred Fist Warpriest. Inquisitor is the most direct counterpart to the Avenger, but doesn't have Wis to AC and uses Medium armor instead. If you do the dip and want to use light armor, it might be worthwhile going Half-Elf, taking the EWP option for Elven Curve Blade, and taking weapon finesse. Put agile enchantment on the Elven Curve Blade, and you can neglect Strength for the most part.

you can also level dip into monk for a bonus feat and stunning fist, and wis to AC and CMD.

honestly, 1 level monk, 1 level swash buckler, X levels of slayer, get a bastard sword, weapon focus that thing, and finesse it forever, with good AC, to-hit, and ... perception, i guess.
