Welcome all to my second foray into Pathfinder Second Edition.
I have not played much, so I am in a learning process for as GM.
Forgive all the blunders I will be making but don't you dare make a single mistake yourselves!
I hope it will be a fun run for us all!
Hereunder is what I will need from all of you.
Please take time to discuss and ask about what you don't understand or do not have yet, and, as much as you can, try and only post this when you have it all (so I have your info' in one place).

The link to the Guide is also repeated on the line under my avatar's name.
Can you all go to the Sideshow Slideshow, on slide 4, and enter your name and bonus (in place of the Xs) for Perception and Stealth. As well as put your minis in marching order (copying the avatar you'll be using for your character).

Hello dear players, as per the official announcement below, the Game Day has been pushed back by a couple weeks.
We shall therefore start on 09 Sept 2019, and must do so to be part of the Game Day.
I will probably set up another Quest, to run between now and the Game Day.
Tell me if any are interested in playing in that one instead of waiting, I will give you priority.
I have some unfortunate news. I regret to inform you all that we will have to postpone Gameday VIII by 2 weeks.
This would place our new dates for Gameday at: 09 Sept 2019 - 17 Nov 2019
WHAT IS GOING ON? WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?
As most of you are aware, the majority of the GM’s have not received their scenario support for the Convention to include a good portion of the Specials. With Tonya occupied by other duties this weekend, we realized as a team that we are very unlikely to see the remainder of scenario support drop by Monday the 26th. Multiple avenues were discussed and what seems to be the best solution is to push Gameday back by two weeks. This will allow enough time for the GM’s to receive their scenarios and prep them.
BUT WHAT IF WE ALREADY HAVE OUR SCENARIOS, CAN WE START THEM?
Please hold off until the new start date to be able to eligible for your boon rewards. I understand this is a large inconvenience, we are doing everything we can to make this work. Part of that is to have everyone one the same start / end times rather than scattered.
We apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause, but we want all our GMs to have a chance to shine.
HOW DO I NOTIFY MY PLAYERS?
Go ahead and post the news to your tables. Feel free to copy this email if you wish. We will be posting notices in all the PBP lodges as well as the Gameday VIII Announcement page.
I know this is not what we hoped to do, and I’m sorry. Thank you for understanding that we’re scrambling to fix this.

I will first see if the other game starts, so that, in case we do not have enough people, Eldon and Urzha can still play here.
On another note, I forgot to mention that you can (if you wish) give me your email, either here with your PFS number etc., or, if you prefer, you can PM me here on Paizo, to not have it on the Forum.
I report on the OSP (Organized Support Program or whatever) which gives you a 5% chance of earning a boon (I think it is 5%, like tabletop).
But, as I said, there is no obligation to give your email (it is only to maybe earn a boon).
This is the OSP thingie our Online VOs set up.
Players have a 10% chance of winning a boon at each table they play at (limit one player boon per quarter). Boons will be allocated by the Online Venture Officers after sessions are submitted by GMs. Players should not roll for boons at the game table. Player will be notified if they win a boon and will be able to choose from one of the boons listed below.
(my bold - I think they only send if you have your email in the report form)

@Vagir: there are more than enough people interested in the other table running now, so I have closed that (full table now) thus you have to remain here and suffer through an endless breakfast with a bacon eating Goblin and a Halfling!
re. Earning Income during Downtime:
Spend 1 Hero Point to reroll a check. You must use the second result. This is a fortune effect (which means you can’t use more than 1 Hero Point on a check).
So you can use your Hero Point to reroll your Earning Income check (but must take 2nd result).
I will thus change to have people rollf or Downtime at the end of the game, since it might be important to keep your Hero Point(s) for the game, and not die... rather than use it first on money that you won't collect if you die!
For those who did so already (rolled your check) you can choose to reroll at the end of the game w. a Hero Point if you have one left and didn't use one already.
For those who used a Hero Point to reroll your Downtime check, I will let you choose to use your Hero Point for something crucial in the game, and, if you do, then simply go with your original Downtime roll, and disregard the reroll.

For Farol: check the Animals in the CRB (or Archives of Nethys).
You can get a Riding Dog (4 gp) and you need tack (saddle etc.).
You can rent the dog for 4 cp / day.
There is a Feat to tame pets (Animal Whisperer, I think?).
But not Goblin Dogs yet...

I have been traveling a lot for work (from country to country) and not super up to speed, but will try to catch up rapidly and see if I have all the info' on you I need etc..
One question: do all know about the Pathfinder Training your characters went through, that either extends your Downtime by 50%, or lets you start with one (or two) consumables for "free"?
Otherwise, it is time to prepare to face the Osirion desert and the secret of Sandstone!

Game Day VIII starts at 2 am Monday (this coming night) where I am.
Since I have to get up very early Monday, and will be working all day till a bit late, I am going to fire off the opening post a bit early (before retiring for the night, expect it in about 13 hours).
And then probably not be able to answer in detail before the following evening (some 20 hours after that).
I hope all are present and ready, and their characters prepared.

Spelling this out so you can correct me (or learn how things are calculated)
So, we have six adventures, five of level 1--
Eldon
Lucky
Nurten
Xun Saburo
Milosh
--and one 2nd level highly experienced ranger:
Vargir
We are in a Tier 1-4 adventure, thus the 5 level ones are the lowest level one can be, and the level 2 is the second-lowest.
This means 5 x 2 Challenge points + 1 x 3 Challenge points = 10+3 = 13
13 means:
Low subtier (6-player adjustment)
OR Low subtier with level bump
So, following the Guide's guidelines--
Challenge Point totals of 12–13 and 23–27 allow the GM to make a choice between two options that provide a similar degree of challenge. However, each scenario varies slightly in the differences between these two options, and the GM is encouraged to select the option they predict will be a more fun and fair challenge for the group. (Parties often prefer options that give the PCs more monsters to fight.) You can pick between the options individually for each encounter.
--I will go with Low subtier (6-player adjustment).
So, we are playing in Tier 1-2 w. 6 player adjustment.
Question regarding buying items, hope I didn't made an oopsie...
When I created my character, I used the usual starting Gold to buy the Alchemist's Kit plus the optional item it offers. Should I have waited for now that you're giving us the chance to buy items?
No, that is fine.
You had your 15 gold (150 sp) to purchase things.
So your character can leave to go to the meeting with whatever he wishes to buy that he can purchase (so the Alchie Kit + other things is good).
The option here to buy extra things, is mainly so that people can get an extra item or two they thing might be handy once they are briefed on the adventure (if you find out you will be trekking high up in snowy mountains, maybe get winter clothes etc.).
Remember that you can "rebuild" your character until you have played him at level 2.
So, for example, you can trade/exchange any equipment, except items you purchased that you used.
Thus, over your first 2 or 3 adventures, you might see that there are things in the Alchie Kit you do not like or never use etc., and thus change what you will start with when you finalize your character to be level 2.

I see I wrote Eldon instead your name when calculating. A mistake.
Eldon is one of the two that left and played the game I ran before the GameDay.

So, please forgive your GM for getting mixed up with the names, but you were the one intended to be on the list, so, you have your place with us, and I'd be happy for you to jump in if you wish (it does not change the Challenge Rating).
Have a quick look at the posts, but you met with your Venture Captain in Osirion, and left on a trek through the desert, having arrived at the newly discovered archeological site you are to explore... only to hear that it seems to have been under exploration for a month by Pathfinders.
