Traits for a PFS barbarian

Advice

Silver Crusade

I'm putting together a human superstitious inveulerable rager barbarian for PFS. I've decided 1st-level feats will be Power Attack and Reckless Rage. With an 18 Str and an earthbreaker, this will give me 2d6+15 damage at 1st level, with a +5 to hit.

The only thing I am stuck on is traits. I know Optimistic Gambler is a great trait for a barbarian, but I'm not sure if it's PFS legal (Additional Resources does not mention it specifically either way). Assuming OG isn't available, what traits would you take for a human barbarian?

There's a Guide to Traits that you might find useful.

Here are the ones I would suggest:

Reactionary: +2 to initiative.

Or how about Dangerously Curious to get UMD as a class skill?

Or a trait that gives a bonus to your will or your fortitude saves?

There's a lot of those listed in the guide. Pick one that sounds interesting to you that you have the book for. (The first two that I listed are in one of the free PDFs that Paizo puts out.)

Hmm

Silver Crusade

I have all of the hardcover books and quite a few splat books. I was more looking for advice on traits that are particularly useful for a barbarian, like Optimistic Gambler is.

Wow, that Optimistic Gambler trait is bonkers for a Barbarian.

Reactionary and Indomitable Faith are great de facto traits for any character. You can never have enough Initiative or Will Save increases.

If you don't want to deal with ACP from a Mithril Breastplate, Armor Expert can help.

Reckless is a great trait if you want to make use of the Acrobatics skill; granting a +1 and making it a class skill really helps its uses in combat.

Vengeful is a great trait, since it adds +1 damage to any attacks you make against the last person who hit you in 24 hours. It's basically a free +1 damage against one foe whenever you enter combat.

There are probably a couple others, but those are the biggies I've found.

Berserker of the Society.
+3 rounds of rage/day.
Faction Guide.

Silver Crusade

Acrobatics is already a class skill. I will definitely have to consider Armor Expert, though. I don't own the Faction Guide, but I could always pick it up. An extra 3 rounds of rage would be nice.

Optimistic Gambler is a campaign trait for one of the AP's.

It is *not* PFS legal.

Ease of Faith: for those missions where, "I hit it with my axe," is not a valid response.

The alternative is a lot of time sitting around bored.

Silver Crusade

I didn't think it was, and wasn't going to buy the book just for it anyway.

I'm also not spending $14 on the Faction Guide PDF just for 3 extra rounds of rage per day.

So I guess that means Armor Expert is in. Just need to decide on another one.

Edit: Ease of Faith would work were it not for the 7 Cha...

for folks who wont allow optimisitc gambler (since its a campaign trait iirc), look up 'community minded'

instead of +1d4 rounds of a morale effect, it's a flat +2 rounds.

Silver Crusade

Do you happen to know what page of People of the Sands that trait is on? That will determine if it is PFS legal.

nope, sorry.
