Buying and training an extra animal as a Druid

Advice

Building my Druid (now L4) and I was looking through the rules and found that I could buy another animal next to my animal companion. Is that true?

And (if true) how does training work? Should I train the tricks during the scenario? (with animal handle etc)? Or can it happen between scenarios?

My leopard will have lots of fun with a trained hawk :D

Is this for PFS?

If so, you can look here for the rules on how many animals you can have and how to train them.

Yep :)

Running a normal Druid + Animal Companion... and thought it would be nice to have another trained animal with me!

(Ohhh... thanx, was looking for that! :D)

I edited my first post with a link.

Basically: only one animal in combat, but you may have others. The GM must witness your Handle Animal check and initial your chronicle sheet to teach an animal a trick.

Its not really worth it for a druid in PFS. Now for a home game it can get pretty crazy, like a mastodon is only 3k, and it will own from level 3 when you can afford it to like level 7 or 8.
