An imp puts on a helm of opposite alignment

Rules Questions

If an imp put on a helm of opposite alignment and failed its Will save, what would happen?

It would change to the opposite alignment.

I do believe that it would still register as it's original alignment as well though, because changing alignment doesn't change subtypes.

You'd have a Chaotic Good-aligned imp.

Which would really be quite interesting to see, given the natural tendencies of imps. Perhaps, instead of an egotistic tempter and schemer, such an imp would serve as a sort of "conscience" familiar -- selfless yet impulsive, urging its master toward reckless acts of heroism.

Grand Lodge

It is now a Chaotic Good Imp.

It maintains it's evil, and lawful subtype, even though it is CG.

That's about it.

Yeah. I was actually thinking of it going kind of in a Robin Hood direction. Wth her at-will invisibility, and the ability to shapeshift into a raven and a rat, she'd be pretty good at stealing from the rich and giving to the destitute.
