Hello, everyone! It looks like the Strange Magic Kickstarter isn't going to hit that $15,000, but I want to do this shadow magic thing anyway. Once I've got the beta version written up, the Antipodist, Weaver of Light and Darkness will be made available as an addon for Strange Magic, deliverable as a separate, stock-art-filled PDF once funds clear in early October. My systems outline suggests $5 or $6 for this product as an addon, or $1 more once it launches elsewhere.

There will be 135 spells/talents at minimum.

I'm really stoked for this class. Any chance of getting the light only and dark only archetypes in this or will they be a separate pdf later? Really would love to play a dark specialist character like that and trade out all the light abilities for some cool stuff.

It's certainly possible. Still, I'd hate to restrict 60% of your options to make that viable.

My suggestion considering that is releasing it as is and perhaps doing archetype supplement books for a pure shadow and pure light options that basically expand the options and have some of their own things that only they can do at a later date. Might make it more doable?

That would make it more doable, yes. Tell you what - let's put our heads together. I'm trying to brainstorm a way to do what you want within the bounds of the base class itself: some sort of dark/light/balanced specialization thing. We'll talk :)

Sounds good!
