Hello Demi-Godlings of the Society Guide/Rules,

A question about this rule from page 22 of the Society Guide:

"In Pathfinder Society Organized Play, you may never buy
items from, sell items to, or trade items with another player.
You may, however, allow another player to borrow an item for
the duration of a scenario."

WARNING TO THOSE READING, there is a bit of 'spoiler-ness' to my question so consider yourselves warned. I don't know how to do the hide button thing so I'm simply warning you in text. Anyway...

Assume a person has the chronicle from Fangwood Keep

Spoiler:
, and he/she is interested in "Study of Infinite Spells". However, the character
is a Bard who cannot actually use a spellbook related to the boon.

Could the Bard select "Study...", receive the spellbook, and then lend it (library style) to fellow Arcane casters during other adventures? I'm not trying to mess with the guide/rule, just trying to figure out if that is an acceptable use of this boon for the character's class.

Thank you.

The character with the chronicle you mention may scribe spells into a spellbook or formula book or teach them to a familiar that can store spells, no one else.

If the bard could scribe spells, he could scribe them into his own book and allow other characters playing in any scenario with him to copy from his book. Since he is not a character who prepares spells, the boon is of no more use to him than to my brawler, who also had the chance to take it.

No, because Bards are not spellbook users. Same issue faced by any spontaneous caster who wants to use certain Wondrous Items that reference "from a spellbook".

Currently, a spontaneous caster can't even pay the costs, and have someone else scribe spells into a spellbook they own.

For the spoiler, it is {spoiler}Spoiler text{/spoiler}, but with square brackets instead of squigley braces.

My thanks to you both for pointing out what should have been obvious to me.

And, my thanks regarding spoiler. I've made a note of how to create the box.

Good gaming to you both. :)
