Rapier Dex to Damage Feat

Rules Questions

Hey! I know there was a leak for a rapier dex to damage feat, does anyone happen to have a link to it? Does anyone know what book its in and its scheduled release date? I have a build for PFS I want to do but I need that feat so I want to know what to look for. Regards.

It's not in a book. It's developer post because they realized they'd messed up with the iconic Swashbuckling weapon by not allowing dex to damage with it.

I don't believe it's PFS legal at all.

Oh? I thought they were gonna release it in a future book. Dang! Thanks.

They are going to release it in a future book, but because you can't have a book that doesn't exist yet you can't bring it to the table. If you can't bring a book with the extra material you plan on using in a character to a PFS table then you can't use that material.

That is false, it will be in the upcoming Advanced Class Origins. If you had read the developer post, you would know it was a PREVIEW from the book.

You are however correct in saying its existence is due to the developers realizing how much they screwed the pooch for rapier users.

I didn't say they weren't going to release it, only that it does not yet exist in any form except in a developer's post. Which is not a resource he can use for PFS.

Unless PFS allows the usage of that specific post to count as available material there is no source for the feat in existence at this time.

I did miss the part of his question where he asked "what the schedule release date is", I only saw "what book". To which, the answer was none.

Silver Crusade

The feat is called Fencing Grace, by the way.

I don't see anything in the comments that gives away what's in the book.

Was there a blog post about it?

It wasn't in a blog I think Jason posted it in the product thread for the Advanced Class Guide

That was ..underwhelming. I was hoping for more spoilers from the upcoming book :(.

Silver Crusade

I think the only reason he spoiled that is because of the massive outcry over how hard the iconic vision of the swashbuckler got screwed by Slashing Grace.

I was well aware I couldn't take it yet for PFS, I was asking for the ETA.

Ughhh, so a month or two! Alright, well better than nothing I guess. Thanks.

I seem to be unable to locate the rules for slashing grace. Could you post the rules and where they were published?

Advanced Class Guide wrote:

Slashing Grace (Combat)
You can stab your enemies with your sword or another
slashing weapon.
Prerequisites: Dex 13, Weapon Finesse, Weapon Focus
with chosen weapon.
Benefit: Choose one kind of one-handed slashing
weapon (such as the longsword). When wielding your
chosen weapon one-handed, you can treat it as a
one-handed piercing melee weapon for all feats and
class abilities that require such a weapon (such as a
swashbuckler’s or a duelist’s precise strike) and you can
add your Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength
modifier to that weapon’s damage. The weapon must be
one appropriate for your size.
