Alchemical Engines and the need for a steam / magicpunk motorcycle

Rules Questions

Hello forum goers! I have come here looking for assistance on an idea for an awesome character concept.

I am looking to make the Kill Master from Brutal Legend, luckilyI have found a few variants of Bard that will help me heal from range and do other metal-ish things.

I now need a proper steed for him to use and as inferred by my title I was hoping I could get some help in figuring out how exactly to stat up a motorcycle since there is little base rules for it.

I am thinking that unlike the actual Thunderhog in the game, making a stand alone motorcycle would work best and tack on cargo space for the wounded with a wagon or something, treating the motorcycle as a large creature in pulling it.

The steam giant is the only ground vehicle that has stats associated with it and from that I extrapolated a few things: Alchemical Engines must equal 2 per size category and it should require some fuel (as a disadvantage, thinking of 1 flask alchemist fire per 2 hours or some such) but speed and cost is a bit harder to extrapolate. If needed I can explain more next post.

I would use the 'Building and Modifying Constructs' rules from Ulimate Magic.

You can build a large animated object for 6250gp at lvl5 with the feat 'Craft Construct'. With construction points you can make it faster, made of metal and add a trample attack to the vehicle.

In our Evil Kingmaker game I played a clock/steampunk crafter and made this for our antipaladin:

Axis “Hellhound I” Chopper
Large land vehicle
Squares 2 (10 ft. by 5 ft.; 5 feet high); Cost 1000gp

Defense
AC 9; Hardness 10
hp 60
Base Save +1

Offense
Maximum Speed 100 ft.; Acceleration 50 ft.
CMB +1; CMD 11
Ramming Damage 1d8

Description
This heavy, two-wheeled vehicle is a rugged model designed for off-road use. An engine of both clockwork and magical mechanisms provides propulsion.
Propulsion clockwork (clockwork engine; hardness 8, hp 60) must be wound each day
Driving Check Ride or Profession (driver)
Forward Facing the motorcycle’s front wheel
Driving Device handlebars
Driving Space the rear square of the motorcycle

We first built it at around level 5, and pricing was adjudicated based on animated object prices, similar vehicles from Ultimate Combat, and power of the item relative to our level. As we leveled up, the character spent more money on it for various upgrades, such as increased speed over long distances, increased combat speed, handy haversack saddlebags, etc etc. We had to work with the GM, of course, since there are no rules for vehicle construction in Ultimate Combat.

Check out Kyoudai's Thunderscape: The World of Aden too. Although they don't use the vehicle rules from Ultimate Combat, they have a lot of great steampunk material, including a base class called the Thunder Scout that has upgradeable vehicles. They're kind of like a ranger, but with a motorcycle instead of an animal companion. Plus their stuff tends to err on the side of over the top, which is perfect for steampunk :]

Thank you guys! :3

Eridan: I totally skipped that whole thought process, I am now having thoughts of creating a construct motorcycle that I can wear as armor! That would be so freaking cool!

xn0o0cl3: I'm so very grateful for the stats to a moderately priced bike; while the goal is to get a bike that would be 900 GP or less, I'm sure I can modify it some (with GM approval) and spend all of my Rich Parents boon on acquiring it. I'll have to pick up that book and show it to the group; the Ranger with a Bike as an Animal Companion sounds pretty badass.

Maybe I'll combine both ideas! I'll run it by my GM and see if he'll let me get away with such shenanigans, it just sucks that I don't get to do any of this badassery as a Bard until so late in his progression.
