Not only is this unprofessional it's nontransparent. As a backer and stakeholder I expect to be notified of limited offers as limited offers. I was going to buy a base camp or a small holding. I was trying to decide and now you jack the price with no warning. Well F that now. Hell it still says "Base Camps will be an inventory item. They do not need to be Threaded and are not destroyed when the character carrying them dies. They can be traded. They can be bought and sold at markets.
Base Camps are priced at $50."-goblinworks page. You click the link and now they want 100 for base camps and 250 for small holding's!!?!?!?
Seems to me it doesn't matter if the price is still the same as it was. The only issue is whether you value the product more than the price. If you don't, then don't buy it.
Supply and demand. It is a monopoly. If the demand is high the prices will rise. If demand is low prices might fall, but also might stay the same since there is no shelf life, nothing to stop them from offering it in perpetuity.
Your criticisms tell us more about you, frankly, than about GW.
