Emerald Spire Chronicle Sheets

Pathfinder Society

A group of us helped a local four star GM play test the first two levels of the Emerald Spire so that he could determine the approximate time it would take to run the levels for convention play. I used a Pathfinder Society legal character to do so. At that time there were no chronical sheet available. Now that there are may he issue me the sheets for the levels I played? Although it was fun I would rather not replay the levels just to get the sheets and be able to move on to the lower levels. I do plan on dedicating this character exclusively to the Emerald Spire if that makes a difference. Although I welcome feedback from anyone on this question, I do want an official answer, please.

I'm sorry, but you aren't allowed to have retroactive credit applied for sanctioned modules and AP legs. I know that you're seeking an official answer, and I'm not official, but Mike Brock has previously confirmed this here and here. Sorry!

Also, for future reference, there's a PFS-specific forum, but it's way far down the front page :)

After all, we want to encourage people out there to help their local GM's when called upon to do so. To deny a player a chronicle sheet, just because there were none available at the time does not change the facts. The adventure was legal for Pathfinder Society play and was played with a PFS legal character.

Here the problem right Where and where you confusion lies.

If the chronicle was not available yet for PFS play then the Module was not Legal for PFS play. As Lunar stated you cannot not apply chronicle sheets for games played prior to the when the Module was made legal for PFS play, even if you did use a PFs character. Your GM should have known about this prior to the game and warned you as such.

Edit: Good new though you can play the level again for PFS play with the same PC since it is now legal to play.

This does not get in the way of no replay rules since when you played it was not legal for PFS credit. Though you should warn the GM you have played that level already.

I concur with Dragnmoon, and with others in this thread. Until the Chronicle sheets were released, the Emerald Spire levels were not PFS-legal. They are now -- yay -- but there's no retroactive credit for them.

If you've already played through an adventure path that gets sanctioned, you don't get retroactive chronicle sheets. This is the same.

Your rewards for helping your GM are having a good time with friends, helping out a fellow gamer, and being better prepared for the "real deal" now that you've had a dress rehearsal.

I own the emerald spire dungeon. I was just looking it over so I could Game master it for my group. I have noticed there are no chronicle sheets in the PDF i downloaded, which was yesterday. How do I go about getting them so I can run it for proper credit for all concerned.

You download them from the product page. It's the very last paragraph in the product description.

As someone who just finished GMing floor 11 in PFS, it is my firm recommendation to run it outside of sanctioned play. The floors are only partially meant to be treated separately and there are huge numbers of plot hooks that get stomped out by the sanctioned run, not least of which is political choices between multiple floors.

Simply put, it's better outside of PFS by miles and it's a structural problem with treating it as modules. That's not a problem that PFS can solve.

As a GM, I love the tables of credit I've gotten from the spire (36 so far between two groups), but dungeon clean-up crew is not a great situation to be in after a while.
