Ladies and Gentlemen,

I would like to thank all of you for helping out almost every if not every company/guild helped. They helped by giving me goods, strip mining, protecting me, scouting, or deciding not to kill me. So, again, thank you.

One comment suffices: OMG. Congratulations, Cheatle, for coming up with the idea, and pulling it off successfully...with the help of so many of our friends.

Being's been complaining about Sepia Crystals being scarce. Are Vital Essences just not dropping?

Goblin Squad Member

a single blood crystal dropped for my L7 cleric over the weekend. The drop rate isn't exactly stellar.

Excellent work on the Substitute List, Cheatle.

Thank you very much for this list, I was at a loss what stuff like "Lesser Vital" meant. These appear to be several types of Gemstones that you can harvest/loot.

Any reason for this naming convention? Does it have roots in the PF lore?

"Lesser Vitals" are Bloodstones and Onyxes. These don't drop in the same hexes that drop Tigereye. You need to find the right hex to farm them in.

Grand Lodge Goblin Squad Member

Awesome list. I don't know about anyone else, but I could use a list of where you get what. For example, what all can be found in Shiny Rocks nodes, what is found in Interesting Plants nodes, etc.

I think we mostly have a decent handle on which node types produce which resources. The big question mark is going to be the hex-specific variations.

For example, some Forest hexes have Plant Nodes that produce Smooth Yew Saplings. Other forest hexes have Plant Nodes that produce Smooth Pine Logs instead. Knowing which hexes produce which resources will take a lot of exploration (yay!)

Goblin Squad Member

Now I wish I could remember which hex exactly it was where I found two of those Perfect Onyxes (Lesser Vitals).

I really like it that Hexes produce unique resources.

Grand Lodge Goblin Squad Member

I need to find the hexes that produce Brimstone (Rock nodes right?) and Bloodflower Gum (Plant nodes I'm assuming). I already know smoke peppers seem to be found everywhere, I had over 100 of them. I also need to find where to get Hemp, (which should also be plant nodes)

I fully intend to be producing Bows ASAP.

Goblin Squad Member

Hemp is apparently from peasant clothing (drops from bandits)

Grand Lodge Goblin Squad Member

That is Salvage, there should also be "Hemp" somewhere. At least I hope there is.

Goblin Squad Member

Well done.

Goblin Squad Member

Great work again Cheatle.

Me too, plus a recipe for weak varnish. Plus I want copper ore to spawn in shiny piles of rock occasionally, or at least let goblins more commonly drop broken weaponry.

Grand Lodge Goblin Squad Member

Um, you get the Weak Varnish recipe automatically when you reach Apothecary 5 or 6 I think.

Goblin Squad Member

Ahh... I didn't train that since I was focused on trying to make Cleric 4 and training everything I could imagine that might make it actually appear on my character sheet. (Did manage to make Cleric 7 though).

UPDATED:

On the second tab at the bottom under rarity:

Not only does it show the Resource/Salvage and its rarity, but now you will find which Hex type it comes from, or it if came from Combat, and which Tier/level of a specific gathering skill you need to find it.

Note: I did this based off of notes, so its still incomplete, if anyone wants to look over it and add their thoughts/notes, please do.

Thanks, that helps a lot. Too bad we still don't know which hexes Infused Bloodflower Gum comes from.

Do some of the hexes count as multiple hex types for resources?

Scarab Sages Goblin Squad Member

Great job on the research, Cheatle. I kept wondering what the odd things like Bandit Target Marking Dye were for.

Goblin Squad Member

@Drake

I don't think so.

As a matter of fact some Hexes, like Highlands for instance, only produce coal in specific Hexes within its own Hex type. A lot of resources are only found in specific Hexes within Hex Types.

Dangit! You guys are making my bookmarks list too long! ;)

so we still don't know what animal spoils are for ?

Goblin Squad Member

Yes, apparently they are specifically to be sold for money at vendors.

Pet food for Rangers?

Sold to who ? NPC ?

Goblin Squad Member

NPC Vendors.

Scarab Sages Goblin Squad Member

There will be some NPC vendors, particularly in the NPC settlements. We've been assured that they will sell only the most basic newbie items, like very limited selections of starter weapons and armor, and very minor consumable items (Potions of Barely Noticeable Healing) and "charges" (spell charges, arrows, rogue kit ingredients, etc.).

Heh. Potion of scarce efficacy, Rune of Hangover, and the ever popular mage spell 'sniffles'.
