Classes for Void Scythe

Advice

Making a character just for fun, and I'm looking through some items and I think, "Huh, that's a pretty cool weapon." So I look through possible options for a class that can wield it and so far I'm not having much luck. I was thinking a Cleric level that has at least a 3d6 channel and a shadowdancer prestige class. I'm considering making this a boss character later on in a custom quest I am making.

Sovereign Court

void scythe cost 95k gp...guessing its for very high levels? Go Cleric then. The high level spells will give you the protection that you need.

I think you can charge it as a Cleric, and then pass it on to a Fighter-ish friend who gets way more attacks than you, to better bestow negative levels. I think there's a magic ability or spell that let's you call a weapon to your hand that might help, maybe.

An evil Cleric with a black magic scythe that drains your life is very thematic though.

best option I can think of is an evil cleric of Urgathoa or an antipaladin of Urgathoa. any prestige class would be for pure flavor. throw levels into ranger for favorite enemy works great if all or most of the party I the same class. rogue for some sneak attack and if you have greater invisibility, the one where you can attack and stay invisible when attacking is cool. or you could go mystic theurge and be a sorcerer/cleric or sorcerer/antipaladin

Warpriest of Urgathoa can do it too I believe, and stack more negative levels with Death Blessing and Sacred Fist/Crusader's Flurry with Scythe.

There is a Paladin archetype Temple Champion that would also work nicely if you could take it on Antipaladin (which by RAW you cannot, but the parallels in abilities are obvious and it would be reasonable for a DM to allow it). (Temple Champion gives you one Blessings, and the major blessing of Death allows you to deal an extra negative level a turn).

Shadowdancer maybe?

Yes it is

I do like that idea, but I have a hard time playing paladins considering I do a lot of random actions. I would have to take extra caution to follow the paladin's code

One of the thing's I'd like to know is if you have any way to decrease the action cost of your channel, otherwise this can be very annoying to activate.

You could do this feat.

Dark Archive

Void Wizard. Jazz it up and make it a magic staff. Suffocation aura, horrible stuff like that.

Don't bother hitting anyone with it. Just look terrifying with everyone being sucked into the vacuum around you.

LOL, that is a funny idea, but I would actually like to wield this thing...

Hurm. I'd advise just a battle cleric of some kind, or an Antipaladin with Quick Channel. If you can, try to add TWF for more attacks and more negative levels.

I know this isn't what I oringinally asked, but do you have an idea of what level this character should be? Don't worry about equipment costs, most of this stuff is handed down from his father.

Silver Crusade

Charge it and hand it to an antipaladin/shadow dancer.

That is actually a great idea, someone else said it but I didn't really consider it, I could make two characters, Battle Cleric and a Shadow Dancer. Thanks Skylar and Dominus!
