@DM: In addition to spelling my name a bit wrong, it also appears you are being much too generous with my initiative modifier, which is, in fact, -1 (the day will come, of course, when it skyrockets, but that is not today).

I wanted to perform my Caravan Bond in character, so did not post it at the beginning, and then forgot.
So, I am announcing that - if we survive this - Lucita will perform it after this fight, once we recuperate a bit or during that.
I will do it IC, but, if I forget, putting this here as a reminder (it is the Varisian Pilgrim's archetype's foundation: to be able to use the Domain powers on others, not just her, and at a distance instead of touch).
Note: does Lucita not avoid the STR damage, then? (since it is typed as Negative Energy?).

Lucita raises a pale fist to the skies: "Father! Father, why have you forsaken me!", cursing her Vampire father for not having given her his full immunity...

Caravan Bond (Su): At 1st level, by leading a group prayer for 1 minute, a Varisian pilgrim can select a number of traveling companions equal to her cleric level + her Wisdom bonus --> thus five
She may use her domain-granted powers on any of these traveling companions as if they were her. She can use these abilities on her traveling companions at a range of up to 30 feet, even if the ability normally requires her touch.
Traveling companions, and group prayer, means, to me, that you have to be able to think, and pray etc., so not animals?

As long as you have the liquid assets for it, the DM might be willing to 'handwave' it.
Since it has no actual effect on the adventure, I'm willing to handwave things if you choose to concecreate (or use alternative less costly spells) after the adventure.
Apologies. Biggest quarter ever at work, which meant ridiculous number of contracts going through last minute, so Friday through Monday was working all weekend. I didn't get to even check PbP for 4 days. Sorry I didn't give any notice or updates.
Catching up on the 17 posts here to respond accordingly.

Hello!
I will be flying out on Thursday, Oct' 5 (tomorrow) and then back on Monday, Oct' 9, and will be out in the Romanian countryside in between those dates.
I've arranged to have Internet access, so I should be able to post a couple times a day.
But I am giving this warning, so, in case I go dark, it'll be because something went wrong, so just bot me for those days if it happens.

Hello all!
Tomorrow morning I'm off to Austria. Will be working a few days outside Vienna, and then moving to Vienna for a couple nights.
Should have Internet all the time, and be able to post twice a day, but, since I'm travelling for a week you never know what might wrong: in case I disappear that'd be the explanation.
Decision point:
1) You have recovered the body and the katana.
2) You have decided on a buriel/funeral method.
3) You have decided where to take the sword.
That actually completes the objectives of this adventure.
Our options:
1) End here and do chronicles.
PROS:
-Gets chronicles and frees up characters
-This is an evergreen, and for those of you who haven't played before, it leaves some dungeon as a mystery for next time. (You covered about half the rooms this time, and the encounters and objectives get randomly generated and then moved around each time you play, so there likely won't be a vampire the next time you play.)
CONS:
-You don't see the rest of the dungeon on this run.
2) Explore the rest of the dungeon this way.
PROS and CONS - Exactly the opposite
I will leave it completely up to the party what they would like to do at this point. There is no treasure or prestige cost to making one decision vs the other.
Male LG Human (Taldan) Paladin (Shining Knight) 10 - Init +0; Senses: Normal Vision, Perception +1, AC 29/ touch 12/ ff 29; hp 84/84, F+13, R+7, W+12, Speed 20ft. (while mounted on Phranklin: swim 50ft. / fly 60ft.) Continuous Auras: 10 feet: +4 morale bonus on saves vs. charm and fear effects. BUFFS: feather step (gecko), divine favor, Protection vs. Evil, Sanctified Shield, antitoxin, antiplague; CMB +3, CMD +3
I'm ok with number 1. If there's an advantage in consecrating the place and destroying the haunt I think our party has the power to do this off-scene for RP / paladin conscience purpose, if that's ok with the party and the GM?

I forgot this is an Evergreen, which changes my vote to 1.
I'm okay with going on if that's the consensus, but I'd vote to end here, to leave more surprises if/when I play it again.
I really like this adventure... thanks.

My other experiences with this adventure have taught me it's an exceptionally dangerous one, so I'm fine with #1, too.
Sounds like it is #1. I'll check to make sure that I have all the info for chronicles.
Just to let you know why I handled the "boss" the way I did.
1) The adventure gives you the ability to place encounters in any room as the GM. She was actually waiting on the ceiling with an ambush with the skeletons in a room you were getting ready to enter before turning back.
2) Since she's an intelligent foe and knew you were there already, she went to ambush you outside instead. (I simply moved the encounter to room 1.)
3) The skeletons and her were actually all 1 encounter. She was going to enter the fight the next round of the skeleton fight, but you killed them so fast, she wanted no part of that, so I had her wait for people to sleep again instead.
The cool thing about this is there are 24 different "bosses" (12 high and 12 low tier). Lots of variety in the supporting encounters too.
As Xukong said, this can be very deadly. Some boss fights and some "random encounters" can be rough. I considered this one to be an "average difficulty" set of encounters, or slightly above average, but by no means super deadly. You had a party well equipped for it anyway.
I haven't sent it. I actually have 2 other games finishing in the next 24 hours, so I get to do a chronicle spree this weekend before starting up next parts on a couple of adventures Monday.

So, Xukong just joined a new adventure, and as such needs its Chronicle ASAP.

Mix of things. Coworkers leveled in hurricanes = more work for me. My VA passed away, which has put more local duties back on me, and has me scrambling to rally GM's for local game days and cons. Paizo not working has been awful getting anything for games posted. (This is my 4th attempt and counting at trying to answer this during this week. We'll see if it's eaten.)
