Evolved companion, please tell me I'm wrong..

The Exchange

Right, I ran a couple of calculations for evolved companion.

Lets say we have a Nagaji Druid. Getting 13 Cha isn't that hard.

Animal companion - Anklosaurus (Large).

Tail slap - 2d6 base

Animal companion takes the following feats: Improved natural attack, Vital Strike, Additional item (belt slot), Combat Reflexes

Druid spends 2 feats on evolved companion
Evolved companion - improved damage
Evolved companion again - reach

Tail slap from 2d6 --> 4d6(always on).
With vital strike it becomes 8d6.

If application of Strongjaw is used, standard tailslap is 8d6, vital strike 16d6.

If Strongjaw and Animal growth are used, 32d6 on vital strike, 16d6 without?

I suppose with animal soul wildshaping druids could do something crazy with behemoth hippos...

What could you do if you gave the wolf a claw attack and everything else you mentioned?

if this is homebrew go for it.
if this is for society sadly this is now on additional resources

Feats: all feats on pages 137–159 are legal for play, except Animal Soul, Divine Protection, Evolved Companion, and Spirited Gift.
