Mystic and/or Occultist were name dropped at one point, though I can't quite tell from the podcast if one replaced the other or not.

If not base classes, archetypes?

My guess (including the two named classes

Kineticist
Spiritualist
Telepath
Fakir
Seer
Mystic?

My guess would be...

Kineticist
Spiritualist
Psychic
Mystic
Fakir
Medium/Occultist

As described, the Spiritualist is pretty much a Medium, so I think we would get one or the other.

Well then replace Medium with Telepath.

I would love to seem some classes based in some Mythos type stuff. Or one that delves solely in altering the body to sort of "evolve into these higher beings", like alchemist mutagen meets the synthesist summoner. But reasonably balanced. Like, how a monk tries to attain perfection through training their form with ki, what if one altered itself to attain this alien idea of perfection.

James Jacobs (if he stopped writing campaign stuff), Wes and a few others would probably like doing/trying that... I would expect the results to be NPC/GMPC only options.

I made a class like this myself, if you'd be interested in taking a peek :)

Dark Archive

Last I heard was possibly around halloween

Edit Mark beat me. I think his avatar swooped in.

I don't remember but do the playtest usually happen on Tuesdays/Thursdays blogs because those days are for news/events or is just random?

But, if Mark says end of month, I'm thinking Friday October 31, which as someone else said would make it Halloween, which makes it quite appropriate for OA. Of course, if they good for an early Halloween trick instead of a tasty Halloween treat, that would be lovely :)

True, but what about sources of magic? Arcane is generally the magic of the universe, while divine is the magic of the gods. So what will the source of magic be for occult magic?

Actually, Arcane is less the magic of the universe & more the magic of the will.

Yeah 27th, sorry miscalculated the week days. ;P

I would love it to be this week coming up but I doubt it will be.

The Kineticist might not be the only non-caster psychic class but only time will tell.

My money is on a 3.5esque warlock class with a touch of Jean Grey.

Humbly,

The Kineticist will more then likely be the warlock class with a touch of jean grey...well depending on what you pick, like pyro, cryo, electro I can see.

Any word if the Occult Adventures Playtest will be available for Pathfinder Society Organized Play?
