So I received the following message in my inbox:

Dear Customer,

Access to e-mail is about to expire,
We recommend that you upgrade your account to avoid the suspension.
Please update your Paizo account by inserting your Paizo registered EMAIL ID AND PASSWORD and click submit post

Thank You.
Paizo Inc

it came from the user: Email Alert. it seems suspect to me. I wanted to make you aware of this message in the very likely event that it is fraudulent so that appropriate measures can be taken.

I have the same experience.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention! We've looked into the issue, and it does seem that the account you mentioned was created for spamming. This user has now been removed, so you should not receive any further messages from them.

Other than trying to track down fake accounts, we cannot control the content of Private Messages sent to your Paizo.com account. It is our recommendation that you always use your best judgement with messages, and report anything you find suspicious.

We also ask that you refrain from divulging passwords or other personal information in Private Messages, Messageboard posts, or emails. If you suspect that you are being spammed, you can check our FAQ to read more about the options to turn off private messaging, or block a specific user from sending you contacting you.

If you have any further questions or concerns about this, please feel free to let me know and I'll be glad to help.

Thanks!
