magic weapon cost

I feel thick, but I just have always been unclear on prices for magical weapons. I have always played very low level campaigns so it hasn't been an issue. Now i'm playing something higher level, and I am trying to figure out the cost of a +1 dueling spiked gauntlet and am having trouble. any help would be much appreciated.

For the future, the way magic weapons work is you find out what your total + equivalent modifier is and add in any flat modifiers. You can have a max of +5 just + modifiers and a max of +10 equivalent on any weapon. I think there's also a rule somewhere about not going over 200,000 total but that may be a holdover from 3.5.

So, for example, if you wanted a +2 flaming impervious weapon it'd cost you "price of weapon + price of masterwork + 18,000 (+2 + flaming (+1) gives you a +3 equivalent weapon) + 3,000 (impervious)" for 21,000 + masterwork weapon.

This is confusing. In my APG Gloves of Dueling alone are 15000 gp, without the +1 enhancement.

Barry, your gloves of dueling are a wondrous item, not a weapon. They have different functions. So the pricing will be different.
