[ACG] Brawler - Shield Champion Flurry Question

From the ACG:

spoiler:
A shield champion can throw a shield as part of a brawler's flurry.

Does this mean I'm able to use returning shield in conjunction with brawler's flurry in order to ricochet off multiple opponents? Or is the thrown shield only allowed one attack per flurry?

Also, if I have the improved shield bash feat, am I able to retain my dexterity bonus to ac when using returning shield? Or do I not even need this feat, as it is not technically a shield bash?

Finally, I assume the throwing shield works with ranged weapon feats (deadly aim, point-blank shot) and not melee feats (namely power attack). Is this correct? As a follow up to that, if I'm shield bashing with brawler's flurry while power attacking, then decide to throw my shield on one of my iterative attacks, does it suffer the penalties to hit from power attack, even if it doesn't receive the benefits to damage?

Shield bonus. Sorry not sure how to edit.

Good questions. I'm looking for make this character for the Pirate Campaign and I was wondering some of these things too. I'd love to hear what other people think about it (especially Devs of course).

Cheers!

-A returning weapon does return to your hand as soon it strikes so yes you could take iteratives, just dont make it ricochet. If you are not using a returning weapon or u make it ricochet i think the text implies that you can take of attack per target.

-The attack is a ranged attack not a shield bash, by raw you should be able to retain shield bonus, as long you still have the shield at the end of the attack/s

-It works with both feats depending on how you use it, the same way as a throwing axe

-It shouldnt have penalties because power attack can only be used with melee attacks and throwing a shield is a ranged attack, however it would provoke AOs as normal

Shield bonus. Sorry not sure how to edit.

Returning wrote:
This special ability can only be placed on a weapon that can be thrown. A returning weapon flies through the air back to the creature that threw it. It returns to the thrower just before the creature’s next turn (and is therefore ready to use again in that turn). Catching a returning weapon when it comes back is a free action. If the character can’t catch it, or if the character has moved since throwing it, the weapon drops to the ground in the square from which it was thrown.

there is a second power granted by the class you all need to remember

Returning Shield (Ex): At 5th level,
a shield champion can throw a shield so it ricochets off her target (and possibly other solid objects) to return to her at the end of her turn.
This ability functions whether or not the shield champion hits her opponent or moves on her turn. The shield deals no damage to targets it bounces off other than the original target of the shield champion’s attack. Other circumstances can prevent the shield from returning to the
shield champion, such as an opponent using a readied action to catch the shield, or the shield sticking to a mimic’s adhesive. The shield
champion can opt to not have a thrown shield return to her, in which case it falls to the ground as it normally would. If the shield has the returning weapon special ability, she can use either that or this ability.
If a shield champion has additional attacks from a high base attack bonus, these additional attacks can be ricochets off an earlier
target.
The distance to each additional target adds to the total range of the shield, and range penalties apply, but there are no additional penalties for attacking in this manner. Because ricocheting attacks are treated as separate attacks, effects and modifiers that only apply to one attack roll (such as true strike) only apply to the first attack and not to the others. A shield champion can throw a shield as part of a brawler’s flurry.

What happens if you use Two Handed Thrower + Quick Draw to throw your shield as a part of Flurry of Blows? Do the targets hit by the ricochet attacks (the ones after the first hit) also get the increased strength bonus damage? Or does only counts for the first hit?

looks legit to me.. awesome

You don't need Quick Draw to get your normal rate of fire, as you aren't throwing a two-handed weapon.

To get the AC bonus from the shield after throwing it however, it needs to be donned again, which normally takes a move action. You would need a quick draw light shield and the Quick Draw feat to don a shield as a free action.
