Hi guys, one of my fellow player wants to play a Pahmet Dwarf Monk for our upcoming Mummy's Mask, and he wanted to be the tank of the group, who can support some heavy strikes and control the battlefield.
We are 25 points-buy and not a party of powergamer so don't worry the Monk is pretty good in our game. I was thinking of an Iron Moutain Monk, or a Flowing Monk but I'm not sure which one is better. No multiclassing, just pure monk. UM, UC, APG allowed, and around level 7-8 ACG should be autorized.
Any advices guys :)?

There are lots of threads here about monks, like this one .
Monk of the Sacred Mountain is a good start for a tank-y monk. It combines with Flowing Monk too.
Also check out the guides in the sticky thread at the top of the Advice forum.

"Tanking" in pathfinder isn't so much about not getting hit, any class can stack AC. It's about controlling who the enemy can hit. Being untouchable is pointless if the enemy can simply ignore you and target your squishier allies. So to "tank," you must either have battlefield control, or hit harder than everyone else so the enemy tries to take you down first.
I'd suggest flowing monk or maneuver master. Keeping up your cmb generally requires a lot of specific items. Cmb builds work great in pfs style play where you choose every item you get, but isn't so easy to do in games without magic-marts.
Another way to go would be martial artist, mantis style, boost wisdom for lots of high DC stunning fists.

Let me clarify, now that I shrugged off my laziness and looked up the class again; you swap out the monk AC bonus for natural armor bonus, which CAN be stacked with armor if you get it from another class, say a 1-level dip in fighter for example. Also, you get DR with Ironskin monk. Very tanky again.
