Hi, I've ran in 2 games now so I am 1.2 I believe is the term. My character is a Tiefling Wizard and I picked up the advanced class guide and the white mage arcanist looks VERY intriguing.

Questions:
Am I right in thinking that I can retrain my character, keeping his name/race/fame/prestige/equipment in tact and change his class/skills/feats/spells and stat scores because he hasnt hit level 2 yet?

Also: White mage question. Since they can cast any spell with Cure in the name that is an appropriate level? Does that mean that they can use the Wand of Cure Light Wounds without using the use magic device skill?

Thanks for your time, not sure if i am going to retrain, but if I can get a kick ass Arcanist that has the ability to heal up the meat shield at the same time? I think that fits my character better than constantly casting infernal healing on the paladin :D

Yes, as long as you haven't played your character at level 2, you can fully retrain everything.
If you want to keep him a tiefling, you shouldn't retrain the race, though.

I haven't had a chance to take a look at the Advanced Class Guide yet, so I don't know about the archetype. What exactly does the ability say? Does it add Cure spells to the character's spell list? In that case, he can use wands of CLW without having to make a UMD check.

Things you keep while retraining/rebuilding at lv1:

fame
prestige
items consumed (so you can't sell the potion you drank or the wand you have used charged of)

Everything else can be changed.

The Arcanist casters get a pool that they can use to modify their spells with what is called 'Exploits' Basically a list of feats you can use x amount of times per day to boost your CL/DC damage duration

Well the Archetype White Mage removes your first lvl and 9th lvl exploit abilities and replaces it with Spontaneous Healing (su)

Paraphrase: Expend 1pt from your arcane reservoir to use one of your spell slots to cast a cure of the same level that you expend the slot from. At the 10th level you can expend 5 points of the resevoir to cast breath of life.

Basically makes any of your spells into a heal spell just in case you didn't get a cleric in the group that night

it is an SU (supernatural ability) and not techincally a spell so I don't know how they worked this for the play tests. I doubt I can use the wand of CLW, but if I can? yay

Since it doesn't say, "You add the Cure spells, at the appropriate level, to your spells known and spell list", you cannot use a wand of CLW, as an example, without UMD.
