Looks interesting. Some old school gaming back in action! Surely.

Oh man oh man oh man oh man oh man. I think my first CRPG was made by them.
Let's wait and see what they will be delivering...
Looking forward to seeing what they have planned....
I sense a kickstarter in their future.
I am old enought to remember the old DunjounQuest games, Buck Rogers, Pool of Radiance,Wizard's Crown,Eternal Dagger and so on.
Man I hope they redo SSI's WWII war games as well. Battle for Normandy was a classic.

My first rpgs were the gold box games. I have played all of them. I definitely would like to see them updated.

Did they also do Redstorm Rising, Midway and Tobruk?
There's a countdown for 11 days on their website now. Very keen to see what they end up doing. I'd actually love to see a return of something like Unlimited Adventures...
I would LOVE to see Red Storm Rising redone. Or just updated. I loved that game.
Those old gold box games were great for their time. Pools of Radiance was the greatest game I'd ever played when it was released.

Redstorm Rising was by Microprose.
Battlestations: Midway was by Eidos.
Tobruk: Clash of Armor was by Datasoft.

~sighs~ Oh well.
I remember the books that had the special room descriptiond, including a few joke ones that had characters from other games.

Oh, them feels!
The amount of time spent playing the old games, while listening to my one "modern" musik cassette (yes, this was before CDs became mainstream) of Roxette...
We are officially old...

Yup. Gold Box games plus Roxette cassette. Those were the times!

Oh the anguish I felt when loosing my decoder wheel...
I learned the wheel well enough not to use it for some time. Just sayin'. :)
I never played them. I was out in the field too much in the late 80s and most of the 90s when they were around. I really want to play them, but I hope that they just update the operating systems, and leave the graphics and game play the same.
I will watch for this. :)

Thanks :-)
I found a list of SSI games on wiki - I played a lot of those games.
Are there any modern equivalents of the counter based wargames?

Are there any modern equivalents of the counter based wargames? Paradox Interactive has some very good games.
Crusader Kings II
Europa Universalis III and IV
Victoria II
Hearts of Iron III
Give them a shot.
Looks like they've announced their first game will be a turn based RPG where you design your entire party, called Seven Dragon Saga.
