just a quick question are subdomains third party or core and if they are what rulebook are they in?

They are core. Most subdomains originate from the APG, but many others appears from other books, like the Inner Sea Gods.
If you need to check up on which book a subdomain is from, I would suggest checking out www.archiveofnethys.com, under classes->Cleric->cleric domains. (I set the link above straight to the domains page.)
Find the domain with the subdomain you want and click on the link.
In the subdomain description, Archive of Nethys would label which source book that subdomain is from.
You can also see all cleric domains in one go and check if any subdomain is PFS legal, by checking if they have a PFS logo next to their names.

Which means that they are neither third party (since Paizo made them) nor core (since only the Player's Handbook is "core", at least the Advanced Player's Guide refers to the PHB-classes as "core"). But they are official Paizo material.

While on the topic, anyone have the link to the list of which deities encompass which sub domains. I found it once and have since not been able to. The best I found was one for minor deities and emoyreal lords (useful but I need core deities sub domain access).Here you go: Which Deities emcompass which subdomains.
Note that I won't be done with adding all the new subdomains from Inner Sea Gods for a few days. I'm most of the way through, however.
