upgrading an item with multiple effects

I read through a good portion of the upgrading items post and didn't see this covered. Also not sure if this is PFS legal.

Upgrading a sloted item with a second ability increases the cost of the second ability by 50%.

Say I have Spellstrike Gloves (8,000gp) and want to add Gauntlets of the Skilled Maneuver (4,000gp which would become 6,000). So it would be 8,000+6,000=14,000

What if I had he Gauntlets of the Skilled Maneuver first and wanted to add the Spellstrike Glove ability. Would it be 4,000+12,000=16,000. Or would I just pay the 10,000gp difference to bring it to the 14,000gp item.

While you can upgrade as Dylos quoted, note that you can only combine the effects of two named items if there is an item that actually is a combination of the two printed in a legal source.
