I've only been in Pathfinder Society for less than a year. I have to humbly admit that when it comes to understanding the total back story and even current situation of all the factions my mind goes to pudding. One of these days (I keep promising myself) I'll try to track down some old posts and faction letters, etc and try to piece it all together (and there's a single post that I requested and saw that had a fairly decent overview of the factions up until Season 5).
But, with all that said, I'm still sort of overwhelmed by the sea of information on all the faction stuff.
I currently have characters that are in the Qadira, Silver Crusade, Osirion, and Grand Lodge factions. What does this mean for me and what general advice would you give in relation to players that have characters in these factions? Should I change...why or why not?

Basically:
Grand Lodge & Silver Crusade: no change
Osirion: now Scarab Sages, new leader
Qadira: now the Exchange, merger/takeover of Sczarni faction
Owner - Enchanted Grounds, President/Owner - Enchanted Grounds

I think you're over-analyzing, Prethen. If, by changing the factions around, the Campaign Management was creating a system in which you must know each their back-story and history, and everything that "came before," then they failed in what they wanted to accomplish.
The new factions should be a jumping-on point for new players, new characters, and new stories. Read the faction letters to see where the heads of each factions' ideas and loyalties lay, and choose your concepts from there. You will certainly need to change the Osirion and Qadiran designations, but considering your own PCs' back-stories should enable you to choose the faction that is appropriate to them.

Original: Factions were nations vying for control over absolom.
That didn't fit for everyone.
Paladins couldn't do faction missions without falling. So they added the silver crusade.
Some people didn't care for any of the nations and wanted to be shady without being evil, so they added the scarzini.
The shadow lodge were cool enemies, so they added the shadow lodge.
The season was going to Tien, so they added an asian flavored faction.
That was 10 factions to write missions for. it took up too much space and too much time, so they ditched the lantern and shadow lodges.
Now they're decoupling the factions from their nations (almost) entirely.

I would expect the Exchange to be influenced by the scarzini a bit and become a little shadier. If you don't have any serious problems with that you should be fine.
Silver Crusade
hasn't changed a bit.
Osirion
Now with even more egyptian flavor. New name and under new management, same tomb raiding fun. It looks like this faction is going to start to shine a bit more.
Grand Lodge factions.
