Martial Arts Master Question

Rules Questions

Martial Arts Master (Ex): At 4th level, a martial artist may use his monk level to qualify for feats with a fighter level prerequisite when those feats are applied to unarmed strikes or weapons with the monk special quality. This ability replaces slow fall.

This ability says it replaces Slow fall, now does that mean that it replaces all instances of slow fall? Also how many feats are there that have "fighter level" + "unarmed strike" or "Monk quality"
This seems absolutely pointless to be replacing slow fall... Can someone give me an example of what one might get out of this that would balance out replacing slow fall? If it only replaces it at one instance and moves it up to the next instance then I can almost justify it. However I would like to know what feats you would gain which you normally wouldn't.

It replaces the Slow Fall class feature completely.

This would be used for things like Weapon Specialization (Unarmed Strike [or other monk weapon]), Greater Weapon Focus (Unarmed Strike [or other monk weapon]), Penetrating Strike (Unarmed Strike [or other monk weapon]), etc.

1.) Yes. Slow Fall is one ability.

2.) Greater Weapon Focus, Weapon Specialization, Greater Weapon Specialization when applied to an Unarmed Strike or Monk weapon.

Haha... wow. Slow fall is used so infrequently my monk has literally never used it a single time. The superior selection of Fighter bonus feats is so good that you will use them on literally every single attack roll you ever make.
