Hmm.. (Just to tick off some of the folks here.)

Arkenstar Prototype.
-Somehow you got an early prototype of a unique firearm. A hint of what is to come. Choose either a revolver or rifle. NOTE: the touch range is still only the first increment and there is no discount for cartridges. (IE.. you pay full price)

Scarab Sages

How about auction item to have one of the Society Admins show up at a Local Con, and run a scenario of your choice, for you and a handpicked team of Pathfinders?

Shadowlodge Underground - You are one of the secret few who remained a part of a secret circle of shadow lodge members. The faction of the character with this boon is Shadowlodge Underground. You may earn the following faction boons by accomplishing tasks...

Then have a simple set of goals much like the faction goal cards introduced for other factions.

(I think it would do well as an auction boon with lots of demand, even if you allowed multiple buyers to be members of the inner circle by selling multiple copies. OR, this would be a much more awesome tier 1 GM boon than a race boon.)

For a charity auction I liked what he did at Winter War let players play a scenario that's been retired. I'm not sure if the players got credit or not.

We did receive chronicles. They were updated to PF rules and exclusive boons added.

I could see this as a "Donate $50 to unlock this option" more than an auction item. It sticks to the theme of the Shadow Lodge- -donating of yourself for the betterment of your fellow man- -maybe the top donator gets the title of "Grandmaster".

We did do something very similar to this boon with the "Spirit of the Shadow Lodge" convention boon, which allows former Shadow Lodge PCs to continue purchasing Shadow Lodge vanities and get a discount when paying for a fellow Pathfinders' healing.

I figured this was the boon to take it to the next level, giving faction missions under the new mission cards. Without the new faction mission style, I don't think it was feasible. (You couldn't use up wordcount in missions for a retired faction.) However, now that it could be a card with more universal type missions, the opportunity was there to bring factions back from the dead. (I don't think lantern lodge has the same following, but it could have the same thing. Heck, you could have pro-Andoran, pro-Celiax, pro-Ruby Prince, or even Aspis double agent cards created under this system. Sure it's a more complex boon, but for something with so limited in availablilty, it would be a good experiment, and won't break campaign balance.)

I guess I was just trying to see if we could push the limits on faction missions due to the potential new faction missions open up. "Secret" or "Rare" factions can be supported, and as long as they are linked to rare/unique boons, they won't overrun things.

Getting slightly off topic, but expanding on my previous post. I believe the way the new faction boons will work allows for expansion with "story arc boons" as well.

For example, a certain season 6 scenario had a boon involving the Blakros family. I love that the boon's subject matter was introduced to the game. I HATE that it was included as a part of that particular scenario. What if instead, a boon card like the following was introduced. (I'm being vague here, but you should get the idea.)

Blakros Supporter

Tasks

[][][] Rescue a Member of the Blakros family

[][][] Protect Blakros property and holdings

[][] Earn favor with a Blakros family member

[][] Gain favor with the head of the Blakros family

Rewards
3+ Boxes Checked - Favor of the Blakros Family
You are recognized as a friend of the Blakros family. Gain a +1 in diplomacy checks with members of the Blakros family and a +1 in knowledge nobility or knowledge history checks dealing with knowledge about the Blakros family or their holdings.

6+ Boxes Checked - Ally of the Blackros Family
All bonuses from the "Favor of the Blakros Family" boon are increased to +2. In addition, you recieve a gift from the family. This can be any item worth up to 1000 GP.

9+ Boxes Checked - Freind of the Family
Add something similar to the Friend of the Family and option for family member boons. (Or do something different.)

----
Characters could be limited to one story arc and/or have to pay prestige to add a story arc to their character and/or story arcs could become a new alternative to race boons for GM's at local or big conventions. Heck, might even be an interesting alternative to book boons for the tales line. Would make the tales boons a lot more interesting, and story arcs could be tied to the theme of the story.

Looking through some of these/the other thread;

The option to buy/spend Prestige/earn an item created via Create Reliquary Arms and Armor (probably restricted to holy reliquary items) is pretty nice.

For what its worth, I didn't realize Spirit of the Shadow Lodge has an actual benefit even if your PC wasn't around to work with the "official" faction. ::applies SoSL boons to two of his characters::
