Hey guys,
From what I looked at on the message boards, and from what I have understood from the rules for Wounds and Vigor, the constitution modifier is completely useless aside from providing you the bonus to your Fortitude save, is that correct? For some reason that seems a little strange to prevent the use of a constitution modifier, but I can dig it if it is completely ousted in terms of resolving vigor and wounds.

Your Wound points and Wound threshold depend on the Constitution score.
Wound points = 2 x CON
Wound threshold = 1 x CON
Due to the fact that the CON bonus is hidden in the CON score and a high CON score/bonus is important!
If you like the CON bonus then use this formulas for wounds and threshold:
Wound points = 2 x (10 + (2 x CON bonus))
Wound threshold = 1 x (10 + (2 x CON bonus))
Note: A CON score of 15 results in a CON bonus of 2.5 for this formulas.

That does seem like a pretty good formula to try out, thanks for the suggestion Eridan. I do enjoy the Wounds and Vigor system, it just seemed strange that the Constitution modifier was chopped off of that completely as you would imagine (even with a high CON score) the character would still have something more to show for it than having more Wounds.
However, this does bring up another question in regards to Wounds and Vigor. The feat Toughness and the option for a Favored Class bonus to +1 HP/level depending on what class you take it in is something I have been thinking about. Currently I am ruling that both the Toughness feat and the Favored Class bonus for +1 HP/level goes toward your Wounds and not your Vigor. Is that how it would commonly work, or should these bonuses be going toward Vigor instead of Wounds?

That formula seems a little overcomplcated compared to doubling your Con score.
I'm pretty sure W&V had an updated Toughness feat. Yup, down on the bottom here right here.

Ok this formulas are a little easier :)
Wound points = 20 + (4 x CON bonus)
Wound threshold = 10 + (2 x CON bonus)
Note: A CON score of 15 results in a CON bonus of 2.5 for this formulas.
Regarding Toughness:
As Odraude said there is a rewritten version of he Toughness Feat for Wounds & Vigor
Toughness
You have enhanced physical stamina.
Benefit: You gain 1 wound point for every level or Hit Die your character has.
I would use this rule for favorite class bonus HP too.
