I am a little overwhelmed by the number of company and settlements that i have seen. I don't know who to ask to join. I would like a company or settlement that i could play with. the time that i can play is 11 am -4 pm pacific time. I am thinking of playing a fighter tank and i have fun gathering i have found.

My company is looking for more stealth oriented PvPers but allow me to suggest The Magistry and Grim Maw Clan of Aragon. Both are set up in great locations and have skilled/experienced leasdership backing them up.

The Magistry is more "good guy" oriented and support varied play while The Grim Maw is the crafting division of this game's premier chaotic settlement, and the settlement itself offers companies specialized in many forms of content, keeping in mind you may join up to three companies.

Yep. Join Kabal. We have folks all across the American time zones. Fighters are needed. Gatherers are needed. Crafters are needed. Mages are needed. Clerics are needed. We do PVE and PVP. Our leaders know what they are doing, with years experience at this kind of thing. Some of the other groups don't have that going for them.

We are NG, as long as you are only one step away in alignment, you can join the settlement.

You want NE, try Hope's End.
Agents of Erastil are LG.

Whoever you join will bless you if you join before midnight tonight since that is the end time for week 9. But there is one more week left if you want to shop around a bit more.

[but Kabal is your best bet in my mind] :-)

If you think you might like playing a Dwarf, we are tucked away in the far northeast mountains and will be specializing in crafting the finest works of metal and stone. We welcome Dwarves (of course), Gnomes and Halflings (once they are introduced), and outcasts of other races, except orcs and half-orcs.

We have a strong sense of community, and have a mission bestowed upon us by High King Borogrim the Hale of the Five Kings Mountains. So far we have three primary companies; Deepforge Company hailing from the Five Kings Mountains, gatherers of ore and makers of fine metalworks; Clan Stonebrew, who fled from to the Kodar Mountains from the depravations of Ordrik, High Priest of Droskar after the assassination of Garbold, son of Tahlrik; and the Lightbringer Company, Engineers and workers of stone. Any of the three would be happy to have you.

Know that we Dwarves are a good people, and are demonstrating a tolerance in the River Kingdoms by declaring our settlement is neutral, but lawful. Evil is not tolerated here, and evil incursions will be dealt with harshly.

If this describes a settlement you would find comfortable, please feel free to contact myself or Gorim Goldhammer, and sign up under the Dwarven settlement of Forgeholm.

If you are unsure what you are looking for besides playing a fighter, I would look into The Seventh Veil. They look to be supporting a wide range of play types.

Otherwise, looking around costs you little for the return.

You could always try out...
LAWFUL AWESOME.

LAWFUL AWESOME.

Now I wish two things were real:

1. Lawful Awesome

2. Neutral Fabulous

Look at it this way. The game needs people playing all the time. The settlements should be large enough that there will be people playing all the time. This isn't like WoW where you've got your raid group that does Wednesdays and Saturdays at 7pm. There's always going to be things going on and things to do. Personally, I'd rather my settlement had people from timezones around the world so that we're always active and about.

So, read their blurbs. Look them up on the forums and see what others are saying about them. Send their members messages and ask questions.

We can't decide your group for you. Pick what seems awesome to you and hopefully it will be.

Oh, and Tavernhold is the best.

What kind of play style do you expect? Sword-and-board heavy armor fighter is an equipment and feat loadout, not a playstyle.

Are you interested in a position of tactical leadership, making decisions regarding party targeting, or would you prefer to only have to know your own niche, rather than everyone's?

How well do you handle costly defeats; are you happy to rearm and charge back into a battle against superior equipped enemies if the strategic plan is to wear them down by attrition, or does that sound too much like repeatedly losing to you?

Thanks for saying that, Charlie. I was composing a very similar message.

@pavaan, The Seventh Veil is very focused on Knowledge (gaining it, sharing it, helping folks make use of it to achieve their own personal goals). We've been around, and active, for a very long time, so you can expect we'll remain active when the game goes live.

Your play times seem to line up pretty well with prime-time Europe, and we have a number of European players; there's even Greenwitch's Mean Troop.

If you haven't already seen it, you might find the Guild Recruitment & Helpful Links list useful.

Ultimately, you'll need to be comfortable with the group you're joining. PFO is shaping up to be much more social than most MMOs.

Good luck in your quest.

Wow I am shocked by the quick response. Thank you all for your responses and input. after looking at those that took interest i have made my choice. quick i know, but nothing is set in stone.

Golgotha would be a good selection if Pavaan wanted to play more evil roles and reap the benefits of that specialization.

I imagine that was not picked, they did not attempt a recruitment blurb :P

I just like saying your name.

It is Kabal

Charlie George?!

I liked it as well when it was bequeathed to me. It reminds me of Ricky Bobby which makes me laugh :P

Oh! Golgotha! Yeah I am not Golgotha. I lead Callambea.

.... I should stop drinking.

Your flag should have wonder bread on it.

I don't like saying Callambea, it confuses my mouth.

I like your direct attitude !

A tank would do well in our Argent Guard company, focused on keeping PVE escalations down, also clearing dungeons, and you would definitely be able to do some gathering in your spare time.

Follow this list,

Joining The Empyrean Order:
1. Join TEO on the CotP boards.
2. Apply for CotP membership.
3. Introduce yourself, and look for the Argent Guard on our boards.

Solid choice. I commend your decision.

Actually was going to second Kabal or Magistry xD

on a side note - if you want a little rabble-rousing and unaffiliated socio-political mayhem... please feel free to send me a PM and I would love to tell you all about a few of my wonderful secret organizations which I plan on making not so secret in not too long :D

Rather get on this train

Train Clarksville.

Ha, that is also a good choice Bunibuni. My friend Benjamin owns the entire monkees collection.

On a more serious note, if you want to talk about music we should probably set up a forum for it, because I have about three days worth of songs I would love to talk about xD

Goblin Squad Member

Hmm not more serious... i guess more practical?

Goblin Squad Member

Never heard their 1967 live album but have all the others including the Missing Links cds.

Please feel free to contribute to T7V's Music Thread. I absolutely love being introduced to new music, and it's in the Public forum (although you'll probably have to register).

Goblin Squad Member

Awesome to both!

I'll admit I don't much listen to the monkees, but I do dabble on occassion

Silly me I always thought he said Locomotive Brass.

You know, us nature types over with The Viridian Circle can teach you the proper lyrics for many songs, if you would care to stop by?

YES! shameless plugging achieved.

Greenwitch's Mean Troop is indeed a good fit.
