My PCs will soon be level 5 in a Planescapy/Firefly-ish campaign, and they'll soon be in an Aztecky area with dinosaurs. What would be some really fun encounters with dinosaurs? I plan on one being a T-Rex vs. Triceratops classic, with the PCs being caught in the action for some reason (maybe environmental mudslide like Goonies or Romancing the Stone?).
I'm not above re-building the feats and stuff, either. Thinking about a Spring-Attacking T-Rex.

The tall grass sequence in Lost World: Jurassic Park is a classic, and the PCs are just the right level for it. A pack of four-six deinonychus, a lot of cover and concealment... some scared players.
The most fun I've had with prehistoric beasts has been with a quetzalcoatlus. In a prehistoric themed game I ran, the kobold weapon master got swallowed whole by one, burst a full dust of dryness and then rode the geyser out.

A pack of Deinonychus is both level appropriate and nasty. I'd highly recommend it.
A Saurian Shaman Druid is also a spiffy encounter, especially summoning some extra dinosaurs to back him up. At 7th level, he can both assume the form of several interesting dinosaurs, and can have the good Animal Companions.
An ankylosaur defending it's territory or a hunting Allosaur are also good possibilities, and attacks by pteranodons could be interesting.
EDIT: Ninja'd somewhat. Ah, well.
