Do miss chance stack, if at least one isn't concealment ?

Rules Questions

Hello!

I need some help to find how to rule something:
I have a friend who wants to create a spirit-oriented barbarian/oracle. He wanted to know how the Spirit Shield and the Spirit totem work together.
They both give a miss chance against ranged attack, but are not concealment (some could say that the spirit totem should be a concealment miss chance, I agree, but not for the spirit shield).

So... What happen?
1/ Do you roll twice the miss chance ?
2/ Do you roll only for the highest ?
3/ Owi-Wan Kenobi ?

But let me give you the relevant rules:

Spirit Shield:

Concealment rules on stacking

Concealment Miss Chance: Concealment gives the subject of a successful attack a 20% chance that the attacker missed because of the concealment. Make the attack normally—if the attacker hits, the defender must make a miss chance d% roll to avoid being struck. Multiple concealment conditions do not stack.

Ahh your over parsing the wording. Mechanically a miss chance and concealment are identical.vthey basically shouldnt stack.

Actually, the closest equivalent is probably blink, where you have a invisibility (concealment) miss chance, and a going ethereal miss chance. Each independently are 50%, both together are 75% (equal to rolling twice and having to make both rolls.)

the only caveat I would have is that if spirit shield is an upgraded form of spirit totem, then no, its miss chance just replaces spirit totems miss chance.

FLite,

Blink only has a single 50% miss chance, not two 50% miss chances that add up to 75%.

No they don't stack, but depending on the situation you may get two rolls.

In the case of the OP I would say only the highest roll applies.

Ok, so basically, no rule text on the concern...

It doesn't surprise me there isn't a stacking of any kind, but I hope someone will find something else to help me know if RAW it's one or two rolls, or at least a dev' idea.

For now, to roll 2 times seems boring, so I'll probably do as Wraith say, one roll.
