1. You DO or will need places to train that match yours in level.
2. Early training is when the most trips are required to and from that distant trainer.
Many of us will have to deal with it, so it is not THE WORST. It may get irritating, of course.
It'll probably make sense for many or most characters to spend their first few levels in a safehold where training is convenient and murder is not- especially those characters who will not be able to train in their home settlements. Once you've leveled up enough that the initial pace of training has slowed down a bit, then you can think about moving out of your parents' basement.
Fresh Air! Lots of Hills! And a few trees to keep the elves happy!

A few days to a week? That is not a bad idea for those that start on day one of EE. When WoT starts, I will hope that all of my fellows will be close at hand for that PVP window and for times when we take towers.
Well this game is built layers on top of layers of complexity and then you through in the human factor in the equation.
Everyone is making valid points, but at the end of the day how we select to run our Clan/Guild/Community is our decision. Rather or not, that is the right one or not that is for us to find out and adjust and adapt to =)

It most certainly is. Apologies for the derail. I had kinda forgotten this was a settlement's thread.
pshhh derailment is our bread and butter no apologies needed and it gives us free bumps so it's a win win =)
"De-Rail! De-Rail! Boss!"
Which is more scary killer clowns or killer mimes?
<Kabal> Pexx wrote: Which is more scary killer clowns or killer mimes? Mimes, definitely - you can't hear them coming.
Wait, no - Clowns. You CAN hear them coming.
Wait... GNOMES! Killer Gnomes are the scariest.
-Hedrik, previously of the Gnomepunters Guild.
Gnome Mimes clowning around.
Clownish gnomes mining around.
Clown gnome mimes piling out of a tiny car! It's like an endless bag of holding.

Unless its a gnome. They would be level suck!
So all in all is a tie both are equally scary when gnome is brought into the equation.
Especially if it is a garden gnome. Those guys are just creepy.

Me is friends with a few gnomes, yup, me is. Charlo and Tarlo be their names, and twins they be! Anywho, them friendly gnomes bring 'Ol Burrz garlic from, hmmm, 'lil 'ol gnome hut methinks? Best garlic ye ever tasted, perfect in me magical brew!
I think gnome gninja is the scariest because the g makes them silent. also would a gnome guild be said out loud to be a uild for that same silent g

Now the question is which is scarier gnome barbarian or gnome paladin
2 people marked this as a favorite.

i would say a gnome barbarian wielding two gnome paladins in spiked full plate that are chained to each other, making them gnome chucks. now that would be a scary sight.

Did you just what?
pavaan wrote: ... gnome chucks... I lol'ed :)
Pavaan wins! Especially if the gnome chucks scream Eeeeeee Eeeeee EEEEEEEEE while being wielded.
Got to wait until I get home to log into MMORPG and do my posts there. Seem to have forgotten my password.
I think Kabal is more interested in this kind of gnome chucking.
(Wow, I posted here and now I don't see it... posts are being eaten!)
I was just going to comment on how gnome chucks reminds me of a long car ride where we came up with a super hero named Fossil Man who used cow chucks for weapons. Made me smile in that really random memory.
pavaan wrote: i would say a gnome barbarian wielding two gnome paladins in spiked full plate that are chained to each other, making them gnome chucks. now that would be a scary sight. I played with a 3.5 party of Gnome Paladins, one of whom was a valley girl who believed evil could be redeemed but there was no accounting for bad fashion sense and another felt sneaky tactics were un-paladin-like and it was unjust and unfair to do anything other than wake the bandits and give them time to prepare before unleashing righteous wrath upon them.
So, presumably that party lasted what, two, three sessions before tpk? ;)
Well, if they played only against LE folks maybe they survived for 5+ adventures.
The group of paladins frightens me and will probably keep me up tonight.
Over the River and through the Woods
To the Paladin's House We Go!
Did some paladins hurt you?
"show me on the gnome doll where the paladin layed on hands"
They really are a big touchy-feely bunch.
You Kabali are a terrible influence....
Had to delete my own retort.
Bringslite of Fidelis wrote: Can I keep the gnome doll? Sure
Since most humor is based on someone's pain or misfortune, which paladins don't to see happening to good people, they are also fairly humorless. Puns, on the other hand.....
I don't know about paladins, but this Cleric sees suffering happen to the innocent all the time. Sometimes it is the result of evil, sometimes the carelessness of those who are not focused on the results of their actions, and sometimes simply a test of faith.
And sometimes it's simply a bad pun...
There are no such things as bad puns just awesome ones!
And probably not a nice person either.
