Music for a Wrath of the Righteous campaign

*potential spoilers in the comments below for WotR*

I recently started incorporating music in my campaigns, which has been a delightfully immersive experience for my players as I discover my DMing style to be more cinematic in nature.

What I ask for today is music that you think would compliment the atmosphere of the campaign, anything from festival music and noises for the opening scenes of the festival to wandering the streets of ruined Kenabres to slaying Demon Lords.

Any other songs you also enjoy using during your games would also be appreciated, though I prefers music without lyrics, with songs like "Ode to Joy" passing through due to the lack of "lyrical interference" as I can describe to the best of my ability, while songs like "Fat-Bottomed Girls" will sadly be passed over. XD

Ok, Here we go. (I've listed the music by composer, if known, or by the source material/Soundtrack)

O Fortuna (Carmen Burana)
Duel of the Fates (John Williams) (other scores by John Williams are also wonderful: Jaws, Indiana Jones, Memoirs of a Geisha, Jurassic Park, etc)
One Winged-Angel (Nobuo Uematsu) (Or, anything by Uematsu, really.)
Cruel Angels Thesis (Evangelion Soundtrack)
Bluemenkranz (Kill la Kill Soundtrack)
Clavicula Nox(Therion) [Almost all of the Vovin Album is good for gaming)

YouTube has some great "Epic Music Mixes" if you are looking for some long-term background music. Two Steps from Hell is a great one.

Very respectfully,

Came to post Two Steps from Hell, but it looks like I was beaten.

Once again Bacon has proved to be the superior meat product. Thank you kindly sir.

Don't forget there's always natural ambient sound. Check this site out for some great selections. This link is the sound I'm using for the initial BIG battle.

Check out this thread in the Wrath of the Righteous forum. There's already a lot of good suggestions there. I'm enjoying the soundtrack to Dark Souls 2 myself:

Music for Unleash the Wrath

I love adding sound and think it really adds to the tabletop experience. I've been using Syrinscape to aid with ambient sounds, and it comes with its own themes as well.

The Exchange

Frankly the Diablo 2 and 3 soundtracks are great for rooting around in demon laden ruins.

Elliot Goldenthal's Alien 3 soundtrack has lots of spooky tracks that are good for some atmosphere.

Goldsmith's Predator soundtrack is great for tension building/running/hiding. Predator 2 is good too but escalates the "tribal" themes and may feel out of place.

For more subdued stuff I like James Newton Howard. Most of his stuff is fantastic regardless of how you might feel that it is mostly for M. Night Shyamalan movies.

Hans Zimmer is good. Gladiator, Last Samurai, etc.

Jack Wall's work on Myst 3 was AMAZING for background.

James Horner has some good stuff. Krull and Willow. (Willow has some great "chase scene" stuff) Wrath of Khan is good too. Horner likes (funny enough) horns so the brass presence is strong.

I could go on, collecting this sort of stuff is a hobby of mine but I will give a special mention for Graeme Revell's rejected score for The 13th Warrior. It is so good!

Oh and Nickel Creek's "Nickel Creek" album has some great intrumental tracks that might fit in an inn or festival setting. Nickel Creek;s Chris Thile also has some solo work that would work.

Silver Crusade

Given the themes of the campaign (Crusaders against evil) I can't help but suggest...

Preliator by Globus (even if the latin is kind of doggish)
The Accolade / The Accolade II by Symphony X.
And maybe
In the Presence of Enemies pt 2, III. Heretic, IV. The Slaughter of The Damned, V. The Reckoning by Dream Theater.

My present situation prevents me from providing links.

Some film music main title ideas (I have an MFA in film music, so you can trust me on these):

The Omen by Jerry Goldsmith (Aka Ave Satani)
Titus by Elliot Goldenthall (Aka Victorious Titus)
North by Northwest by Bernard Herman
The Grudge by Chris Young (pretty ambient, might be best for dungeon mood)
Signs by James Newton Howard
Alien by Jerry Goldsmith

Sovereign Court

Heimataerde

The text at the beginning is actually from Van Helsing :)

I don't know what the campaign actually contains, so my bid may be off, but if I've understood correct it is mythic, demonslaying badassery, in which case For The Craftworld could be good :)
