Death Vigil

Comics

Anybody else heard of/looked into this? It's pretty funny and kind of awesome thus far =) Also happens to be done by Stjepan Šejić AKA Nebezial, one of my favorite artists on DeviantArt.

Previews of current and future chapters, side character art, and other such things on his DevArt here.

Digital version of the first issue can be purchased here.

My only complaint is that I want to read more. =)

My wife picks them up from our local shop. It's freakin' awesome.

There's been more than one issue out? (I haven't been keeping up.) The first one was fun.

There are three issues so far.

Time to hit the comics shop, then!

Fourth issue comes out next week, too =D

Fourth issue came out last week, picked it up over the weekend.

Really want to know Heinrich/Allister/Seraphim's and Mia's backstory, and why he and Bernadette are at each other's throats all the time. Beyond Bernie being a Paladin, apparently =)

Also so envious of that backscratching trick.

Yay! Fifth issue answers questions and presents even more questions!

Three Fawlts have given it the nod.

I will check it out today.

Wife picked up the issues we were missing. Damn these cliffhangers!

Liberty's Edge

Still picking these up and I'm still finding myself entertained. For the guy to be doing this all himself, mostly, that's enough reason to keep supporting him.

Latest issue is out. Nice if predictable twist.

FINALLY got to buy and read it. And all the more eager to see the next issue.

I'm starting to see how people got hooked on comics to start with.

Unfortunately, looks like the sales have been poor all around, and unless the last two issues can change that, the comic will likely end at the end of volume one rather than going the full three-arc storyline the author intended.

So he's posting the whole thing on his DeviantArt in hopes that, since a teaser will get some people to pitch in funds with things like Patreon and Kickstarter, posting the whole thing will get them to pitch in funds a little more.

I personally have been only picking up the digital copies off Image's website as they're released, but I'm strongly considering finding a local comic shop and seeing if they carry it. Google brought up a shop that's pretty close to where I work... might have to swing over after work today.

Man, I really liked this one. One of the few independants to come along that showed some promise. I wonder how well Image is marketing it, since it isnt one of their own?

Hard for me to say, I don't normally poke much into comic venues, so I don't know what the word is in that regard.

Either way I'm snagging it electronically as it comes out, and seeing what it looks like to grab the physical copies this afternoon.

I've gotten 6 issues of Death Vigil off of Comixology, and love it. I love his artwork. My Warlock in WoW is named Nebeziel...

If you haven't checked out Ravine yet, I highly suggest ya'll do so.

And of course, I don't think there are any comic shops in my area. *sigh*

My trip to the comic store Friday afternoon got cancelled due to other things, but I should be able to head over there Monday.

If they have Ravine I'll probably check it out as well, since it appears Image doesn't sell it digitally. Image does list the shop I found as one they deal to, so there's that hope at least.

Man... That's a shame... I really like this comic, it has beautiful art, cool.characters and a very interesting storyline... I sure hope he finds the funding he needs. :(

Read final issue over the weekend. You could tell the ending was rushed and that it was supposed to continue.
Very good comic. I am going to miss it.

Well, finally got my collected volume from Amazon last week.

That's quite a cliffhanger. If I hadn't been looking forward to a Volume 2 before I definitely would be now.

Hopefully Sejic will change his mind about Kickstarter or something in the future, perhaps, to give this story a shot at continuing somehow. Or maybe he'll just put it out on DevArt as he has time.
