I really dig Lastwall, largely because while they're presented as a regional power, that power is very tenuous, and waning as fewer and fewer heroes come to join them.

This is a three-way split for me...

Irrisen: Because it is completely insane in all the best ways.

Ustalav: Because I love gothic horror.
Plus... "Ustalav" sounds like the noise my dearly departed German grandmother made when she sneezed.

Varisia: Because it's the perfect local to start a campaign.

I pretty much love the whole IS setting...

I'm with Tacticslion and other that claim the whole Inner Sea. Me, I take it further, I claim EVERYTHING! Seriously, I'd say the Golarion solar system, but that leaves out the awesomeness that is Rasputin Russia.

Andoran, fantasy revelotionary-era US is something I never knew I was craving until I found it. Instant favorite.

Numeria, This. Is. Pulp!

River Kingdoms, because Outsea.

^that. What he said. :)

Druma, because everyone forgets about Druma. :c

On a more serious note, the Lands of the Linnorm Kings are quite amazing and Varisia feels so iconic to Golarion that I can't resist considering it one of my favorite nations. Really, it's a difficult question since there are so many to love.

This court rules GEB to be the best nation!

I'm another huge fan of the whole setting, but my favorite is probably the Mwangi Expanse. Part of it might be that I've been running Serpent's Skull for a couple years now (our sessions have been more than a little irregular), but I really like the way it manages to blend pulp themes with a fairly sensitive and respectful treatment of themes from African culture and mythology. Plus, it's got one of the highest densities of adventure seeds per square mile of any of the regions described so far. :P

Tie between Thuvia and Katapesh, by the gods I would love to get to play in a game which takes place in either (or both!) of those. Unfortunatly for me, everybody I know who play PF seems to only want to play in Varisia.

I'm partial to Varisia and to the River Kingdoms/Brevoy. Right now, I am running a Rappan Athuk game in Seven Arches. It's out of the way enough to make it hard to get materials for their encampment. It's refined enough to where they can at least find a hot meal. I'm not letting them off easy.

1 Belkzen. If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere.

2 Molthune. The Imperial Army is just the sort of place for ultra-militant hobgoblins to fit right in.

3 Numeria. Just because.

4 Brevoy. Not because of GoT or ASoFaI, because I've never watched one nor read the other. But because it can be an awesome place filled with enough mystery and references to the Old Ones and sea demons and dragons that it is awesomesauce.

5 River Kingdoms. You gotta ask why?

I'm going to be really odd and say that I'm very fond of Qadira. The book on Qadira painted an incredibly interesting and complex society. I love the whole Arabian Nights setting, and that Qadiran women get to be so strong and powerful.

Cheliax is also really complicated and interesting too... I'm not sure I'd want to *live* in either location, but adventuring in them is a lot of fun!

Hmm
