Okay, but the question is, by RAW, can I choose them? Be it because I want to look like them, or I like their particular (granted) ability set, or whatever? Its for PFS, so I need to know rules-wise as opposed to functional-wise. Thanks!
At present nothing from mythic adventures is PFS legal without being list on an adveture record as it is not listed on the aditional resources page.

Right. But the monster isn't in Mythic Adventures. It's in Bestiary 4 which says that all are allowed for polymorph effects within the boundaries/rules of the particular effect. Which is why it matters whether or not that 'mythic' tag that I know nothing about somehow makes it unchoosable for polymorph effects or not. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

Nothing in the [Mythic] subtype says anything about polymorph effects, so it works normally.

Sorry about that wasn't trying to be snarky or anything just meant rules wise it wouldn't matter.
My point was that since it wouldn't give you any benefit outside of looks I don't see a point in not letting you let the spell work as it says it does. I think of it like the shiny Pokémon effect all you are is a different color.
I do see you got the answer you wanted so good luck being that mythic beast.

Apologies for resurrecting a long-dead post, but I wanted to check if this was still considered to be the case?
The cases where I could see it causing issues, where it would actually cause effects, are if a mythic creature had a particularly effective poison or breath weapon (as while the DC of those is based on the spell, the damage, AoE, etc, are based on the creature), or if a Mythic creature had a particularly ridiculous number of attacks or similar.
I'm checking mostly for my Polymorphamory guide; I'm pretty sure how my GM would rule on it (i.e. 'No, you're bad enough already').
