I just started Runlords over and cam across a question about Sajan. In an encounter with a monster Sajan used his power to use his dexterity die instead of strength and added a blessing of the Gods,however, there was a blessing of Gorum on top of the blessings discard pile. Here's the question can he play it and add two more dice? I'm thinking no because he is using dex instead of strength and Gorum is strength based, I just wasn't sure if there was a loop hole for power changed dice.
Same question about Valeros. As a weapon master he can use his melee Die for dexterity/ ranged combat checks. This means he can use the black arrow ranger which adds to ranged checks when using a bow because the bow itself is ranged but he can't use blessing of Eratsil because it adds to dexterity based combat, correct?
Sajan wants Blessing of Erastil when he uses his power.
Weapon Master Valeros will still want Blessing of Gorum when using a weapon with the Ranged trait if he's using his Strength/Melee die instead of his Dexterity die. The reason being is he's using Strength/Melee instead of Dexterity. So for him the Ranged weapon is no longer a Dexterity check, it is a Strength check.
