I've got a hankering to take my kids to the zoo. I'll have to start keeping an eye on the weekend weather forecasts.
Whoa! 80 pages of my (occasionally senseless) rambling. Who knew I had this much to say?
The answer to that is: Anyone who's spent more than 5 minutes with me.
Ye gods! I hear the screeching squeak of Disney cartoon characters. My child has found the remote!

During my morning constitutional around the subdivision lake (more like a really big pond), I noticed that our fluctuating duck population has grown once more. Yesterday we had four. Today we had eight, including what appears to be two young. The most I've ever seen out there is nine.
We also have two egrets that have made the shores their home for the last few weeks at least. There are also numerous turtles. Mostly, they keep to the lake. There are occasions, however, when I'll see one or two sitting on the shore somewhere.
I finally broke down yesterday and purchased Diablo 3. So cool.....!
I On Demanded the Warcraft movie tonight. I've never played any of the games, so I'm not very familiar with the story. Still, it was entertaining.
And tomorrow is the first day of October, which means I get to start my Halloween decorations.

I'm not terribly impressed with the craft system, especially when it comes to the mystic - she seems kind of useless.
Whelp! Time for that second cup of coffee, then some ass-kicking monk shenanigans.

It seems the first time you play the game it defaults to the Normal (and very easy) setting. I finally realized this and updated it to Hard, which still seems rather easy.
Otherwise, the game does seem to go rather quickly. I'm already on Act V. I think I missed some extra sidequests.
Got a call yesterday from a company in Indiana. Seems one of my former co-workers had me as a reference, so they were calling to ask my opinion of her. That's the second junior engineer to have me as a reference. I guess I should be flattered they think so highly of my opinion.
Happy Sunday! Debating on whether I want to watch the Ash vs Evil Dead season 2 premier. I didn't really care for the way they ended season 1, and was a little disappointed in the overall season 1, as they didn't make any reference to Army of Darkness.
At some point today, however, I will be watching the new episode of Star Wars: Rebels with my boy.
My poor little buddy had a swollen skeeter bite location on his chest over the weekend. It was an area about an inch and a half in diameter. And that was just the worst one. I think it might have been two or more bites close together.
He's always been bad with skeeters like this. His mother's the same way. We're considering taking him to an allergy specialist we know.
On the other hand, we've found a TV show both kids can agree upon and love to watch - Phineas and Ferb.
The other day, just to get him out of the house while Mommy and Sissy were napping, I took the boy down to the lake for a brief walk. He made sure to count the ducks, as he remembered I had reported 10 the day before. This time there were only 7 of them.
On a related note, while putting baby girl down for her nap yesterday, she asked me if I was going to take a nap.
No, baby girl. Daddy doesn't take naps. Daddy drinks coffee instead.
It's like my wife being amazed that, since I've been home, I don't go back to sleep after dropping the kids off for school.
I tell her (a) that's what coffee is for, and (b) I've got shit to do.
C. Those naps become addictive once you start indulging
My poor baby girl stayed home today. Slight fever and generally blah feeling. I'll take her to the doctor later on, just in case.
We've had to restrict the boy from his Kindle. Now he only gets it on the weekends. He was being too stubborn regarding the very small amount of take-home school work.
Home with baby girl again today. She's got strep throat.
My poor baby girl. Since it was close to lunch time, and I had to go to CVS anyway, I asked her if she wanted McDonald's for lunch. On the way over, she started falling asleep in the car. So I just hit CVS, then got her back home for a nap.
I watched X-Men: Apocalypse. Not a bad flick. Not perfect, but pretty damned entertaining.
My inflatable, light-up pumpkins were not working properly last night. They would light up, but not inflate. I shall endeavor to fix them, but may have to just toss them and get a new inflatable. We shall see.
My poor baby girl is finally getting back to her old self, but that strep throat took a lot out of her. Last night, not only did she not give us any trouble at bedtime, but she slept until 0700 today. I actually had to go wake her up.
Sadly, my inflatable pumpkins are dead as doornails. The lights inside work, but the fan is kaput.
Which, of course, means I'll have to purchase a replacement of some sort.
Sadly, that could be more difficult than one would think. This being early October, the Halloween stuff is starting to be removed from stores in favor of the Christmas stuff.
The more I watch the various Disney channels, the more I realize they should be renamed The Princess Channels.
My boy loved watching me play a little Diablo 3, and seeing my character's enchantress follower turn bad guys into chickens (albeit temporarily).
I was considering just vegging in front of the TV with a movie on, but I couldn't really find one I was in the mood for.
Watched the new Underworld: Blood Wars trailer. Looks entertaining.
Same with the newest Resident Evil trailer.
I'm just glad this will be the last Resident Evil. Milla needs a new look.
Happy Sunday! There has been bacon! There has been toast! There has been the combination of the two into a sammich!
There has also been coffee.
I've become amazed at how much batshit stupid can be a source of inspiration.
A phone call has reminded my that my collection of DC animated movies is still missing some of the older movies, including....
Justice League: The New Frontier
Wonder Woman
Batman: Gotham Knight
Green Lantern First Flight
I once owned the Batman and Green Lantern films, but that was on DVD. I've been meaning to get bluray copies.
There are several of the more recent movies I do not own, and shall never own. Specifically, any purposly and largely involving the abomination known as Damian Wayne, or the supreme annoyance that is Harley Quinn.
Yes, I hate both characters. No, that will never change.
Picasso tiles - a great investment for anyone with toddlers.
