There are people in my office dressed up like cowboys today. It's the big Rodeo and Livestock show. Never been...yet.

Scarab Sages

Was once again thinking about my time in Philly and working for the Navy. Something else I'll miss is the travel. I loved going down to Norfolk, and over to Japan.

Hell, I even liked visiting San Diego, but only because (a) it was San Diego, and (b) I knew I'd be lucky enough to leave that shithole of a state when I was done.

Scarab Sages

I might try to give my buddy a call this weekend. Just for shits and giggles.

Re-watched the Dark Knight Returns animated film last night - parts 1 & 2. While not perfect, it was a pretty awesome adaptation of one of my favorite Batman stories ever.

And I only just realized that Frank Welker provided the voice of a minor character. I heard the character speak and thought "Whoa! That sounds a lot like Freddy Jones."

hugs

And, oh hey! Didn't take too long for the douchebags to start waxing eloquent about yet another troll subject. Not surprised at who started the one poisoning the Off-topic section.

And here I keep making the mistake of thinking this sight is for gaming and general weirdness.

hide it and move on.

FIFY.

Also, done and done.

Gonna be a busy day. Hair cut. Trip to Walmart. Visit to the cleaners. Maybe hit my comic book store (depending on whether I'm the one to take Charlie to a birthday party this afternoon. Maybe get over to the grocery store.

Scarab Sages

Then again, seeing as I've been up since before 6 am (thanks, small humans), and have already had two cups of coffee, put a load of clothes in the washing machine, given Baby Girl her medicine, watched some tv with the boy, put some stuff in the recycle, and done my morning Facebook perusal (complete with reading a few articles), it's already been a busy day.

Scarab Sages

Sometimes, the stupid I have to deal with actually hurts.

Scarab Sages

No grocery store, but I did two loads of laundry to make up for it. Got everything else done.

Scarab Sages

Baby girl enjoyed her first visit to Half-Priced Books and the comic book store (they're next to each other). She also seems to enjoy the ending of The Shawshank Redemption.

Scarab Sages

A nice, relatively quiet Sunday morning. Biscuits and coffee for breakfast. As always, I made shapes of some of the biscuits. Because The Boy!

Scarab Sages

It must be nice when you can have topics or posts YOU think don't belong on the messageboards deleted.

Scarab Sages

I guess it just sucks to be the plebes who don't like having their website experience disrupted because of threads whose sole purpose is to cause said disruption.

Scarab Sages

Because, make no mistake, these little asswipes who start all these troll threads aren't really trying to have a discussion. They're just trying to start an argument so they can prove they're "right".

A!!~~&$s.

Scarab Sages

See, me, I don't have to argue to prove I'm right. That's just the natural state of the universe.

Scarab Sages

On the other hand, I could also be full of bullshit.

Scarab Sages

My wife would likely agree to that.

Scarab Sages

Baby girl has been trying to master getting down the stairs. We think she understands the concept of sliding down on her butt, however, she does not possess the necessary coordination to accomplish said sliding consistently.

Scarab Sages

Grocery store. Clothes washing. Not sure what else to do today. Maybe I'll put something in the smoker.

Scarab Sages

Picasso Tiles = awesome!

Scarab Sages

Every time I think I've run out of reasons to weep for humanity.....

Now I've been made aware of something called Gamergate, which apparently has some people in a kind of tizzy.

And there's people all over Facebook posting something about what color is some dress.

I've got an idea that addresses both issues. It's called "not a single f!!$ shall be given".

Scarab Sages

On the bright side, however, I get stew for dinner.

Scarab Sages

Plus, baby girl's been giving plenty of cuddles.

Scarab Sages

I am not a regular viewer of Star Wars: Rebels, but the episode on Monday is rumored to have another Darth Vader appearance.

Scarab Sages

F++@ing Disney Jr. and its insidious theme songs.

you better get regular, because this show is the shit!

Scarab Sages

I did watch the episode with Lando earlier today. That was fun.

Scarab Sages

Walking Dead was awesome!

Aberzombie wrote:

it really really was.

Scarab Sages

Again regarding Walking Dead - Soooo many doomed souls. Poor bastards won't even know what hit them.

Scarab Sages

On the other hand....it's Monday. Another fun-filled week!!

Scarab Sages

Or not.

Scarab Sages

Actually, I do at least get to go to the Fleetwood Mac concert tomorrow night. Still, stupid f~#$ers couldn't have made it on a Thursday?!?

Why Thursday not tuesday?

Marlon is doing it on his belly feet first, works very good, he starts crawling backward 1m (thats 1 yard for you :-p ) away from thestairs and slowly moves backward to it, it is hilarious

no walking, though :-(

Because then I'd have a good excuse to use some vacation for those 4 hours I would normally work on Friday.

Awesome! Maybe I should try and get the girl to try it Marlon's way.

As for Walking....give it time. Baby girl went from only being able to walk while holding on to something to zooming all over the house in about 2.3 seconds. As soon as she did it the first time, it was like a switch got flipped. The down side is that she falls a lot more.

Scarab Sages

Sometimes, when I'm flipping through channels, I come across Comedy Central or IFC and see commercials for some of their shows. These commercials make me wonder - "Where the f&+& do these young idiots ever get the idea they are actually funny, and not just morons?"

Scarab Sages

Seriously, some of those shows are so not funny it hurts. Hurts my brain something fierce.

Scarab Sages

Caught on Grosse Point Blank last night. Such an awesome movie. I think the only thing Cusack's done since, that I actually enjoyed, was Identity.

And I never realized until last night that the guy who plays Abraham on Walking Dead was in Gross Point Blank. How awesome is that?!?

Scarab Sages

Incidentally, Better Off Dead is the greatest John Cusack movie of all time. If anyone disagrees, you're wrong.

Scarab Sages

"I want my two dollars!"

Scarab Sages

Fleetwood Mac concert tonight. I'm sure it will be nice, but I could really care less. This is for the wife.

Scarab Sages

The other night, we let Baby Girl have some of the stew wife had fixed for dinner. This morning, whilst taking clothes out of the washing machine, I found some rice in the bottom of the machine.

Scarab Sages

And we've started letting her walk out to the car like a big girl. We hold her hand, of course, but she still moves under her own power. I think she likes it.

a lot of the shows on if in particular and a few on cc are heavy into pot humor. If you aren't into pot, you aren't going to get it. Adult swim deals with this as well at times.

Sooo...you're saying pot humor = sounding like a moron?

This is good to know.

Scarab Sages

The Fleetwood Mac concert last night was ten tons of awesome in a one ton bag. They played for over 2-1/2 hours. And I'm not the biggest fan of the band, so I thought it was impressive the songs I didn't recognize or were unfamiliar with were only about 4 or 5.
