How to subscribe to threads / posts?

Website Feedback

I'm not sure if I just can't find how to turn it on or if the feature doesn't exist, but I like to get email notifications for replies to a thread/post (either one I've commented on, or one that I select to watch).

Is this a feature on the Paizo message boards and if so how do I enable it?

Thanks!

We don't have an email notification feature (can easily become spamolicious) but you can create a List (Click "My Wishlist" on the top navigation bar and then click the "Create a new List" link). Then when you see a thread you want to track, click the "LIST" link on the top right and add it to your central list.

It's not as instant as an email, but it does give you the ability to centralize the threads you are tracking.

I can't think of a site/forum that doesn't have a means of subscribing via email. Spam reduction can be accomplished via giving the user the ability to either get emails as posts are made or to subscribe to daily/weekly digests.

Anyway, maybe add it to you backlog ;)

I agree with the subscription feature with daily weekly digests. That usually improves the community experience. People get reminded of her activity here and come back from time to time.

You have the RSS feature button at the top right corner of each thread. Most email managers like Outlook can handle RSS subscriptions more or less appropriately.

Oh, gods! I forgot the power of the RSS. Thanks for that tip of hidden lore.

Sad that technology is getting underestimated nowadays.
