Sorcerers who use Empyreal Bloodline

Rules Questions

Silver Crusade

If your sorcerer uses Empyreal bloodline and that says you use your wisdom modifier instead of your charisma modifier to determine all class features and effects relating to your sorcerer class, such as bonus spells per day, maximum spell level you can cast, and the save DC of your spells then doesn't that also effect the celestial 1st level ability called Heavenly Fire(sp)? I'm asking if you use your wisdom modifier instead of your charisma modifier for that too when determining number of times you can use it per day. I'm thinking you use wisdom and not charisma for it but I want to check on here.

Yeah, of course.

It's similar with INT and, was it the Sage bloodline?

Grand Lodge

yes, I think there a FAQ on it:
they kept CHA in the description of the power, should you get it via other means than the bloodline (like eldritch heritage)

Technically going by the precedent set with Oracles and Spiritual Weapon, the deciding factor remains Charisma since that is the text of the ability.

Oracles don't have an ability that states they use Charisma to determine all spell/ability effects. They just use Cha to determine spells per day, DC, etc. but if a specific spell calls out Wisdom for something other than that, they must use Wisdom. Empyreal Sorcerers, however, do specifically call out subbing in Wis for Cha on all spells and class abilities. Same goes for a Sage and Int or a Scarred Witch Doctor using Con.

Silver Crusade

Awesome

"Trick" question. What if you crossblood and take both Sage and Emperyeal? Which do you use for determining # of spells? (INT or WIS?)

(my guess is you pick at 1st level and stick with it - or whichever is higher at any time)

Grand Lodge

Crossblooded and Wildblooded do not stack.

I'm not certain about that. Can you cite a RAW there?

Sczarni

Crossblooded and Wildblooded are Sorcerer Archetypes. They both modify the same class features. Rules for stacking Archetypes state that if two or more Archetypes modify the same class feature, then they can't be combined.

Sczarni

Oh, and there's always the FAQ as well.

Grand Lodge

Yup. Check the link Nefreet provided.

Cool. Thanks!
