Level 9 feat for a "special" paladin

Advice

Silver Crusade

So my PFS paladin levelled up to level 9 in her last session, and I'm having trouble choosing a feat for her. I'm currently leaning towards Armor of the Pit and Fiend Sight. Any recommendations are welcome.

Aww, nobody has any suggestions?

Power Attack. How did you make it through childhood without PA?
Improved Initiative. Never a bad thing.
Skill Focus - UMD. Make the most of UMD, and even better at 10th level.Though I'm not sure how you worked out her skills.
Critical Focus. You have a mean Keen crit machine, so might as well go to town with it. Staggering Critical (etc) is what you're really after.

She has 1 skill per level. 3 ranks in Diplomacy and 6 ranks in Use Magic Device. As for Power Attack, I find myself doing plenty of damage without it, and the concept of the character ate up my first 4 feats. I think I figured out last session that if she used every LoH on herself, and got average rolls, her effective HP is over 700. Now that I'm level 9 that will go up a few.

I'll have to consider Skill Focus. It would be nice to be able to use my wand of shield automatically. I'll definitely check out Staggering Critical as well, as I don't think I've ever looked at that feat.

While being on Theme, Fiend Sight might be excellent, Power Attack, especially when you are smiting, is definitely the feat you should take. -3/+9 damage that multiplies on a crit is going to put a severe hurting on anything, and it doesn't need to be evil to feel the pain. Think of it as doubling the power of your smites.

Ok you guys have convinced me, Power Attack it is. When I was originally putting this character together, I had Power Attack at 9, but I saw how much damage I could throw out while smithing and how many smiles I had available, and figured I could skip out on it for something else.

Any recommendations for a second ring for this character? I've got the gold for a ring of protection +1 so I'm going to pick that up as well as an amulet of natural armor +1.

Is there a clerical ring of wizardry, doubling first or second level spells? That might be nice for you.
Otherwise:

Ring of Sustenance: Don't need food/water, and very little sleep. Endless crusading!

Ring of Transposition: Teamwork city. Swap places with an ally on command.

lesser Ring of Inner Fortitude: Decreases ability damage taken.

Lastly, Ring of Force Shield: Turn it off at the start of your turn, turn it on at the end. +2 Shield AC.

Instead of the RIng of Prot +1, get a Jingasa of the Fortunate Soldier. +1 Insight to AC, instead of deflection, and negates a crit 1/day. The deflection bonus from the ring doesn't stack with your smites, so it's better gold spent.

For level 11, I'm torn between recommending Fiend Sight for the sensory edge, and Unsanctioned Knowledge for you to grab the spell of your choice from another list (Barkskin would be +4, +5 at level 12! Shield of Faith would also take care of your deflection bonus, while Divine Favor would up your TH/Dmg...)

My suggestion is still power attack. Hasn't changed since when you leveled up. I was there. :-)

Feather Fall, because it's very cheap and you have no other means of flying in any way (apart from Aspect spells which can be dispelled painfully, and should be banned anyway).
Sustenance, because everyone should have one and it's cheap.
I would say Counterspells for a fighter, but your saves are good enough for it not to be worthwhile.

The others are rather more expensive.

Don't you have some scenarios to play in Seattle? :-p

Oh and for everyone recommending ring of sustenance, I couldn't tell you the last time I had to worry about a PFS character eating. Sorry, I may not have mentioned this was for PFS.

Aelryinth, thanks for pointing out about the RoP and smite AC bonus. I'll pick up the jingasa instead. I'll also look into that ring of force shield.
