do we want to spit the money up now, or leave it in a kitty? Either way ting sold his lock picks (15 gp) and borrowed 85 gp from the kitty for master work lock picks.

GM Baerlie, ting failed his first fort. save so...he will contact filth fever in 1d3 ⇒ 3 days...if he cannot pass two daily roles of 11 in a row, correct? Should I roll then now to get it out of the way or should I wait for "in game" days?

couldn't remember if you needed tings information,

Ting Tang
Pathfinder number: 135546-1
Faction: Andoran

My assumption is that using the money we find and selling what we recover we can purchase whatever is available here in Belhaim and then use any items we find until the end of the adventure.

Then we will need to use our pathfinder chronicle sheet and "purchase" whatever items we want to keep, after the adventure is over and any regular "gear" we desire.

Or, are we able to purchase items on the chronicle sheet, or other items like normal?

Male Human Bloodrager 5 (HP 55/55) (AC 25/12/24) (CMD 22) (Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +2) (Init +6) (Perception +10)

Looking over the loot list:
I believe Ting Tang wanted the mithral daggers.
I wouldn't mind the Cloak of Fangs.
Ting or Felicitas should take the Cloak of Resistance.
We should each take a Potion of CLW, and a Potion of CMW.
Felicitas should take the Scrolls of Glitterdust, and the Wand of Web.
We should each take 4 vials of Alchemist's Fire.

The rest of the loot can probably be liquidated, unless anyone wants any of it.

Now we just have to find out what is available in town ;-)

Belhaim is a small town with a population of 388 people.

From the stats:

MARKETPLACE
Base Value 1,000 gp; Purchase Limit 5,000 gp; Spellcasting 5th

Male Human Bloodrager 5 (HP 55/55) (AC 25/12/24) (CMD 22) (Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +2) (Init +6) (Perception +10)

Well, none of the items we want to sell are worth more than 5000gp, so the selling cap should not be a problem ;-)

The base value* of 1000gp will hurt a little bit (since it means that we can't just purchase things like +1 weapons and +1 armor)

*Magical items worth less than the base value have a 75% chance of being available at any one time (a new check can be made each week). Magical items worth more than this are *not* generally available (although each settlement has a small list of items above the cap in value that they have for sale).

Level 5 spellcasting theoretically means that we have access to Raise Dead, Reincarnate, and Restoration.

EDIT: Of course, that will depend on whom the spellcasters in town are - I have a sneaky suspicion that we recently found the body of the only local Wizard :-/ Is there a temple? If so, dedicated to which God(s) (and what sort of Cleric(s) do they have?)?.

@GM Baerlie: What are the various 'stores' in town, so we know which to check out for the 'extra' (i.e. above base value) magic items?

I received the chronicle, thank you!

Ting was just impressed with the shiny daggers, its ok to sell them.

The question is if we need a bow, ting only has chakrams for ranged.

Also is anyone in the village able to add a magical enhancement to armor? I believe that is only 1,000 gp.

Male Human Bloodrager 5 (HP 55/55) (AC 25/12/24) (CMD 22) (Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +2) (Init +6) (Perception +10)

Also, mea culpa! I last checked my e-mail about 4 hours ago :-/

Thank-you :-)

Male Human Bloodrager 5 (HP 55/55) (AC 25/12/24) (CMD 22) (Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +2) (Init +6) (Perception +10)

The purchase limit represents how much an individual vendor has on hand - basically, because we are in a small village, no-one can afford to give us more than 5000gp for an item :-/

Still, that should not be a problem for us.

Regarding the question about enchanting, if someone in town *has* the crafting feat, sure, they could use it, but the chances of that are relatively slim (there probably aren't too may spellcasters of 5th level or higher) - otherwise, the purchase limit would be higher ;-)

When factoring the cost of a +1 weapon or armor, you need to include the cost of the MW item, as well (which means that all armor is more than 1000gp).

Male Human Bloodrager 5 (HP 55/55) (AC 25/12/24) (CMD 22) (Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +2) (Init +6) (Perception +10)

@Ting: If you want a bow, I certainly have no objection to you purchasing one!

Perhaps a MW Mighty [+4] Composite Longbow? ;-)

or two? fourth level baby, fourth level ;)

So on having someone cast on the armor you include the cost of the MW item, If we have Masterwork armor can't they cast it at the cost of 1,000 gp.? or does it still add?

Male Human Bloodrager 5 (HP 55/55) (AC 25/12/24) (CMD 22) (Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +2) (Init +6) (Perception +10)

The base value represents what is available for sale in the local shops.

If there are spellcasters in town, they can do the *upgrade* for 1000gp (bypassing the issue of the base value), but they need to be: 1) a caster of 5th level or higher, and 2) who has the 'Craft Magic Arms and Armor' feat

Male Human Bloodrager 5 (HP 55/55) (AC 25/12/24) (CMD 22) (Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +2) (Init +6) (Perception +10)

I am guessing those are meant to be +1 weapons and armor - +7 not only doesn't exist, it would be a little outside our price range ;-)

Alright, so, after some quick calculating, this is what I come up with:

Hans: Cloak of Fangs

Feli: 2 Scrolls of Glitterdust, Wand of Web (5 charges)

Ting or Feli: Cloak of Resistance +1

Digging through Archives of Nethys, here is the stuff (1000gp or less) that strikes me as having definite utility:

Quick Runner's Shirt (1000gp) - an extra move action on your turn 1/day

Boots of the Cat (1000gp) - always lands on your feet, and take minimum falling damage

Cap of Human Guise (800gp) - in case we need to infiltrate somewhere

Pendant of the Blood Scarab (1000gp) - auto-confirm a crit 1/day

Cloak of Resistance +1 (1000gp)

Sleeves of Many Garments (200gp) - Always have the right clothing!

Cracked Dusty Rose Prism Ioun Stone (500gp) - +1 on Initiative checks

Tourmaline Sphere Ioun Stone (1000gp) - Count your Con as 2 higher for the purposes of when you bleed out

Universal Solvent (50gp) - Handy if you are stuck to something, and very cheap

Ioun Torch (75gp) - A cheap, hands-free light source

Goblet of Quenching (180gp) - Never run out of a personal supply of fresh water!

Traveler's Any-Tool (250gp) - *always* have the right tool for the job.

Scabbard of Honing (500gp) - Since we can't get the magic weapons we want, this gives us a +1 on our first successful damage roll in each combat.

Dream Journal of the Pallid Seer (600gp) - Reroll something that would kill you, but only once, ever (but the book can then be passed on to another)

Campfire Bead (720gp) - Campfire-in-a-can, wherever you go!

ting would be very interested in the cracked dusty rose prism ioun stone as long as it cast light also...

Felicitas will gladly take her share and invest in a mw rapier. Now she can deal a little bit more damage! And the travelers anytool sounds to good to pass, although I think ting is better for it.

Male Human Bloodrager 5 (HP 55/55) (AC 25/12/24) (CMD 22) (Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +2) (Init +6) (Perception +10)

I already have a Traveler's Any-Tool, if that helps ;-)

Looking over the 'specific' magic items for sale, the wands look useful, but a little out of our pay-grade, just yet.

The Goggles of Minute Seeing, though, are *very* tempting; we know that we are going into a house that is probably heavily trapped, so giving our trap-finder an additional +5 on Disable Device checks sounds like a good idea.

I would even be willing to contribute 500gp towards the purchase of it, if that helped :-)

Male Human Bloodrager 5 (HP 55/55) (AC 25/12/24) (CMD 22) (Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +2) (Init +6) (Perception +10)

Other than that, I would like to purchase the following (assuming that they are available):

Quickrunner's Shirt (1000gp)
Cracked Dusty Rose Prism Ioun Stone (500gp)
Oil of Bless Weapon (100gp) - since we could start running into incorporeal creatures, and still don't have magic weapons
Locked Gauntlet (8gp)
