All apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, but I could not find anything relevant in this forum.

My PDF lists Wodes as: Male advanced awakened raven Druid 5, NE Small magical beast.

1) Is there an actual "awakened" template? If so, where can I find it? Or is that word just an excuse to give him higher INT, WIS, and CHA than a normal raven?
2) Is "advanced" supposed to be "giant"?

Awakened means it has been subject to the druid 5th level spell "Awaken" which grants 3d6 INT, +1d3 CHA and +2 HD, and it becomes a magical beast.

An "advanced" creature template, from the bestiary, is basically an above average example of a species that gets +2 natural AC and +4 to nearly all ability scores.

The fact that he's from "First World" just makes him even rarer bird.

Thank you for the answer! I have never been in a campaign with a Druid of high enough level to use that spell, so I missed its existence.

Part of the reason I am asking about whether or not he is "advanced" or "giant" are some of the details:
1) Wodes is Small whereas normal ravens are Tiny.
2) The Advanced template adds +4 to every attribute, but Wodes' DEX is actually two lower than that of an ordinary raven (which matches the penalty of the Giant template).

I am just wondering if a mistake has been made here. I will be more than happy to alter the statline if Wodes is indeed supposed to be Advanced rather than or in addition to Giant.

Since Wodes is from First World, he may be a naturally larger type of raven (an unseelie fey raven?). So the size difference is probably already taken into account for his DEX modifier.

Speaking of size modifier, a confusing point is Goti Runecaster's size alteration power from being half spriggan. A pure spriggan can go from small to large, but Goti is naturally medium size. So does Goti change from Medium to Large or Medium to Huge? I leaned towards Large size and reworked the ability boost to be like Giant Form I, otherwise he can become an extremely heavy hitter that is way beyond CR7.

I made him go from medium to huge because that's more memorable. I don't think it makes him worse than CR 7 - his low BAB means he's still a mediocre melee character at that size, compared to a hill giant for example.

Rereading, Goti's stat block under morale, it says he changes to Large size but still no mention if he gets his full spriggan size change bonus or not.

If he does get the full bonus, Goti's strength will be boosted to 30 STR, and at that point his own BAB is quite compensated and superior to Kimandatsu's (which also hurt and has the potential of auto-killing a PC with a critical hit).

When I went back through Wodes statblock last night, I found the only thing shorted for him if he had both the Giant and Advanced templates is his DEX, which should be a 21 (after he casts Cat's Grace) and his Natural Armor bonus which should be +4 (after Barkskin). Both Cat's Grace and Barkskin are preparatory spells he casts before the encounter.

I think Goti's low AC and single attack balances his high strength.

But, while discussing the bosses, should Kimandatsu's attack bonus be +18/+13 with Oathtaker (+9 BAB +7 STR +1 Weapon Enchantment +1 Weapon Focus)?

Don't forget the -1 size penalty for Kimandatsu being Large (and for Goti too if he's size changing).

I did miss that, thanks!
