Regional Pathfinder monthly newsletter and sigil of the open road pins

Pathfinder Society

I couldn't find these topics listed on the boards. Our lodge (me, actually) recently started pulling together a monthly newsletter. I usually include a couple of items from the Paizo site - such as the recent FAQ about mounted combat and the one concerning splash weapons. Do these violate the community use policy? Should I be sending them or posting them somewhere on Paizo so that you (the company) are aware of them?

My second question concerns the use of the sigil of the open road. We may have an opportunity to have some pins made (through an add-on to a kickstarter campaign) and we would like to have them made as the sigil of the open road. We would use them for prizes at our local cons, give them as gifts or sell them as a fundraiser to purchase prize support for our local group. Is this a violation of the community use policy? If so, is there a way we can make arrangements to use the sigil with the understanding that our cost for the add-on is $250 and therefore we would not go ahead if we had to pay a large copyright fee. Thank you.

There will likely be a Paizo staffer in here shortly to give you an official answer on the first, but I can reiterate what's been said in the past about physical items like the pins.

The Glyph of the Open Road is part of the Community Use policy, so it is available for use provided you include the boilerplate policy when you hand it out. For physical rewards such as this (the item I recall best was a dice bag), you need to print a copy of that text and include it with the pin. Your best bet is likely to be to pit the pin in a small plastic bag with the paper inside as well.
